Bought a new TV yesterday. (UE40K5579)
It's connected to my PC with HDMI and extends my desktop from my PC Monitor (DVI).

Now everytime i turn on my new TV, my PC Monitor will get Black for one second and instantly turn on again, like i would put in the HDMI cable into the TV.
My old TV never did this. CEC/Anynet and stuff like this is turned off and i did not change anything else except putting a new TV on the HDMI Cable.
I also tried to disable Pin 19 on the HDMI Cable but it did not work.

Is there anything i can do about this? It's kinda shit when playing something and turning on the TV and suddenly you will get a black screen for a second.

HELP

is the TV visible for Windows as Display when its turned off? If not -> its the tvs fault. It gets detected as new device everytime you turn it on which leads to that behaviour (happens a lot with a few dp monitors too)

Doesn't this potentially have to do with the graphics driver, too?

tried another cable but still the same.
game mode on the tv didn't changed anything.
sadly no adapter here but i doubt it will work but it's worth a try will buy one in the next weeks.

a friend of mine upgraded his tv last year and since then he expierence the same "problem".
he has the tv connected (HDMI), monitor 1 (DP) and monitor 2 (dvi).
both monitors will go off and on, when he turns on the tv.

if i would had the problem on my old samsung tv too then i wouldn't even mind searching for a solution and would just live with it but i just don't understand what is causing this and i want it like with my old tv.

@VGA
i don't know. i looked into the drivers but i couldn't find anything related to this.
like i posted above i thought it's about the PIN 19 (Hot Plug Detect) in the HDMI cable and taped it with electrical tape but it didn't worked...

just noticed:
when the tv is off i can still drag and drop stuff over to the tv, so the extended desktop is still active.
but as soon as i turn the tv on again, everything i have dragged over is on the main pc monitor.
so somehow it detect the tv new and rearranges the screen setup but JUST when i turn it on.
i would understand that there is no signal when i turn the tv off and the extended desktop would be gone completly but why only when i turn it on???

ok guys fixed. sorry for triple post Sad

if you have the same problem, do i like on the picture and block pin 19 from connecting with some electrical tape.
i tried it before but somehow i did not work, now it worked.
hot pluggin will not work anymore so:
put it the cable back in and then restart your pc and then the tv will be reconigzed again.
now you can turn the tv on and off as many times as you want, extended dekstop will stay and no more monitors which will turn off and on.
