This information is old.. about 3-4 month Wink

And in the last interview EA said, that there is no releasedate for NFS Shift 2. They are going to release it when they think its ready and the quality is right...

Not much information out - and I'm already drooling! Laughing

They can still fuck up quite bad if they close down support for mods, for example, but I am really hoping for a good game, better than the first, which is excellent. Smile

An improved damage model and night races? That would be great!

Definitely looking forward to it, since I really enjoyed Shift Smile

GT1 and GT3 licenses
If they concentrate on proper racing this could be good but if they put out something like shift 1 whats the point in the licences

Give. NOW Sad

I do hope they make the career mode more interesting though. That was the one part of the game that was quite disappointing. If only we could get GT1's career mode, I loved that. No idea if the later GT's were, or the upcoming GT5 will be the same because the PSX was the only one I've had, but GT1 was pure genius, especially for its time Sad

Now let's hope they actually keep ALL the cars from Shift 1 in the game, while adding new ones so we can actually have a racing game on the PC that has more then just 40 cars in total.

Jeez this guy can't speak Laughing

Anyway:

"if you put this game on Elite mode you get a sim that is more sim than anything else out there".

This is a HUGE statement. More sim than iRacing, Rfactor and GTR? Hmmm...

Haha yeah, how could I forgot about the most realistic driving experience ever made in the whole universe that comes with PS2-ish textures, shadows from the early 2000s,

2D trees and a physics engine directly imported from GT4 Cool Face

edit: hopefully seems that polyphony has just released the third patch which unlocks the Free-roam mode:

Sims are boring if you play them with a gamepad Wink

With a decent steering wheel you'll have a lot of fun, much more than you would expect Smile
