Pirates of the XXI Century is a new FPS in the works over at Eastern European developer DioSoft. Not much info is available at this point but Pirates of the XXI Century revolves around modern day sea pirates with action taking place on load, air, sea and even underwater. You will be able to play as either a member of Hong Kong’s triads, modern day pirate or soldier of US Special Forces and have use of about 30 weapons. Read more for details and screens...

* Hi-detailed graphic using all the features of the cutting edge video-cards (nVidia GeForce 6800 and ATI X800).
* High detailed objects and textures.
* Dynamic reflection of all environments from the water surface.
* Three-dimensional sound, using EAX 4.0 effects from Creative Labs.
* Special mode for the underwater representation.
* Dynamic shadows only.
* Realistic physical modeling for all object types.
* Real-time physics with solid body dynamics.
* Inertia, acceleration, damping and application of force.

hey, neat. I passed on sid meir's version of the game, but this looks like it has potential. Besides, everyone knows it's every man's dream to sail the high seas under the jolly roger with a parrot on his shoulder

Modern day, that sucks :/
A FPS with the old school would be fricking sweet.
Btw, the screens remind me more of Boiling point than Farcry.

Cool, let's hope it's not so buggy as Boiling Point was/is!
But GTA mix? Can you like jack ships or something?
Or can you terrorise people on land too?

Very ambitious project. Looks good, but as we've already learned, projects like this rarely come out without tons of bugs and problems.

is it me or does the dude in the wifebeater look a little light in the loafers?
Its nice that we have all this amazing super technology to make water look like it will flow right out of your monitor..but the clothes look like they were glued on by a 5 year old...

when does it comes out?
