What is N++?
N++ is a fast-paced, action-packed puzzle platformer set in the distant future. You play as a ninja -- darting through obstacles, narrowly evading a slew of inadvertently homicidal enemy robots, and collecting gold in a minimalist, sci-fi world. You know, traditional ninja stuff.
N++ has thousands of hand-crafted levels, each featuring a series of difficult challenges, diabolical traps and a distinct visual style to nimbly soar through.
Features
Smooth physics-based gameplay
Thousands of new levels
Co-op, Race and multiplayer modes
New enemies
Colourful minimalist graphics
Built-in level editor and online level sharing
Online highscores for every level
Confirmation of game coming to Steam: (in couple months)

What does this future hold? We’re still excited about releasing updates which will add new content and features (we really can’t wait for you all to try them), andwe’re also still working towards bringing N++ to more platforms — especially Steam, which is our top priority. We hope to have more news about these exciting new developments soon.

Unfortunately N++ won’t be ported to Steam before 2016 — it will take several months, but we’ll post updates here on the blog as soon as we have anything concrete to report.
Stupid fucks. They didn't want to port it to PC at first because Sony paid them a lot of money, but it turns out the game sold like shit and the devs were mad about it on neogaf

the net result has been that the game isn't selling very well; if we're lucky then lifetime sales on PS4 will let us break even, but this is a stretch (it would require us to sell about 5x as much as we have thus far, not impossible but not easy either).

we know for a fact that there are literally hundreds of thousands of N+ fans out there, and so far our sales results indicate that almost none of them know that N++ exists!)
Sure, ignore the fanbase that helped you market the game for free (the original PC game). Instead, release the game on a new console, where 80% of people don't even know your brand. And then whine it didn't sell well. Indie success story 101 folks
Also they really stuck their heads up their ass and announced that they wouldn't discount their game. At all. Of course it backfired completely and now they're backpedaling hard:

Finally, at launch we announced that we would not be putting N++ on sale. While we had intended to push back firmly against the race to the bottom, it seems that the only tangible result of our decision has been to alienate a sizable portion of the audience
Fucking idiots. Especially since it costs 20 dollars. 20 USD for a free fucking Flash game with some new additions
"The good news: we've found a new programmer, and they've been working on porting N++ to Steam for the past month or so," Burns wrote. "There are still a few more months of work – we want to add all of the planned post-launch-update stuff that got put on hold when our team imploded – but we will definitely be bringing N++ to Steam. We're still looking at other platforms too."
Yeh, they definitely slept on laurels. n and n+ were decent indy platformer. They were one of the first in new twitch death genre, and actually did shape it, but between it and n++ the genre evolved immensely, both in gameplay and graphics. The new one still feels like it's from flash generation, and it looks outdated and plays like it's outdated as well.
The *very* big news is that we’re currently nearing completion on a MASSIVE update to N++! It’s so big, it might as well be a sequel. This changes everything, so we think it’s fitting to also change the name of the game, to: N++ Ultimate Edition.
We’ve been working on this since the PS4 version of N++ shipped in mid-2015, and the great news is that we’re almost done. N++ Ultimate Edition will be a HUGE addition to the game — roughly doubling the size of the original version, with new levels as well as new colour schemes to funlock — *and* N++ Ultimate Edition will feature a new singleplayer game mode designed for veteran players!
