Once they upgrade it and add perpixel lighting and dof etc it will look almost like Crysis. But the tune will be different than Far Cry, this time its latino or something. But i'd like to see FCI/FCIP port than FC2.

Right, cause we all know the difference between cryengine and cryengine2 is just a click of a button away /sarcasm

More or less yes. The bigest difference is the breakable trees. Btw I said 'look' and 'almost'.

Now I'm not a very big fan of Crysis, but that is just laughable. Laughing Laughing

Laughing yes, it is Laughing

Its an upgraded engine only and if you put a perpixel lighting in and all those features then it might look very similar. All that stuff that is in Crysis [like nanosuit] might not work, then FC2 might me the winner. And yes the breakable trees was the hardest thing to do and to optimize.

You can go anywhere at anytime and the game is completely no-linear. You also do missions in any order. Something similar to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

If this is true, I am suddenly liking this a whole lot. Smile

Farcry still looks better than most of new games we get. Besides, they changed most of the engine for Farcry 2

* There is a dynamic weather system that adapts to how well you are currently doing. If you're shooting everything in site, and well too, the skies will be clear and sunny, but if you start getting owned, the sky will darken and become overcast.

* Health packs are gone and your health regenerates if you are not shot within a certain period of time.
* There is contextual animation for healing. So if the player has been walking too close to fire, you'll see his arm go up and he pats the fire out on his sleeve. A grenade blast might cause the player to have to relocate his ankle or pull out some shattered teeth.

Hahaha, some very unique features there but overall the game sounds quite interesting and the few screens available doesn't look that bad together with information such as this.

Yeah, if they can differentiate it enough from Crysis it's definitely something I'll be keeping an eye on.

They probably make it so that enemies can't see shit in cloudy/rainy days.

"Our research with consumers showed that there was more interest in the earlier parts of Far Cry - the highly realistic parts where you were raiding mercenary encampments using planning, infiltration and then explosive action to win the fight," explains Louis-Pierre Pharand, Far Cry 2's producer.

"Many people seemed to feel the game suffered a bit with the introduction of the Trigens, and the fantastical story that they brought with them. We agreed."

After just a glance, the different focus is clear. There are no nanosuits in Far Cry 2, and no mutant, alien or magical powers. "Neither the player nor the enemy have any 'powers' other than those that any individual human can summon up in extreme circumstances," says Pharand.
