Reikon is an independent studio located in Warsaw founded in 2014 by four veteran game designers whose work includes the Witcher series, Dying Light, This War of Mine and Shadow Warrior. RUINER is their debut project as a studio and has been quietly in production since January 2015.

Was the genre new to you when you played Hatred...
The thematic was new, before that nobody except random unknown indies would dare to go that far as Hatred did. You can see it with GTA, it still pretty limited in what comes to open racism, gore, violence, abuse etc.
Hatred went almost full nuts and world did explode. In fact, people liked the game. Other learned from their experience that it is market who dictates the success of the game, not a few loud SJWs (which is kinda obvious thing that does not requires any "figuring out"). I expect more "over the line" games in future, I just hope they won't all be centered around gore but there will be more elaborate usage of controversial subjects.
What does *any* of that ^^ have to do with this game? This isn't Hatred. It's not made by the same people. It doesn't have the same content. It doesn't have the same subject matter. It's just an isometric shooter made with UE4. What, you think because there's blood then it's anything even remotely like Hatred?
i mean.. it looks good, and i do like a fun twin stick shooter...
but.. i mean... fucking hatred looked good too (stylistically, with some fun shooting, which is the sole reason for the comparson) but that turned out to be a soulless one-note turd, so.. yeah.. i hope this one actually is from a developer who is aiming a little higher.
