I was waiting for this game, until a friend that works for a review magazine tried a preview copy and told me it was "a pixel-haunting fest"... is it true? I hate pixel-haunting....

I still love the art style tho, so I would be pleased if it turns out he just pulled that statemen out of his ass Laughing

Shows as released and available on Gamersgate.
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-MACHIN/machinarium

And should be unlocked in about ten hours on Steam.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/40709/

EDIT: Works fine, no protection or anything like that either, just install and play. Smile

Also, I find it amazing that the game is Flash-based Smile

where did you buy your DRM-free version? Directly from the homepage at "Amanita Design Store"?

Gamersgate, linked to above, downloads a 380 MB or so setup file that'll install the game data and then you just play without entering a serial or license key or anything like that so no DRM or protection is used by the game. Smile

Where exactly is the download link? I can only see the "buy" icon that adds the game to the shopping cart.

Before they redesigned their store a bit all purchased titles they had but that were unavailable in certain regions due to restrictions or altered release dates could be acquired by anyone via a pre-order, doesn't work anymore with the new system but it was very useful and made certain titles quite cheap in comparison to what the conversion rate would put the price at.
(Got Cryostasis that way, albeit it got improved much later via patches so I missed part of the experience as I played trough it early, hehe.)

I love adventures and this one got a good review from eurogamer, 13,03€ also seems like a good price and the devs sell it DRM-free. I guess I'll buy this one.
