we'll see. It's true that it didnt work on FEAR beta, but it worked on many other betas - SWAT4, SC:CT, etc ..

I truly hate File Planet. Is that the only reason to be a member is because you get to be one of the first to be in those Betas? I never really saw any other reason to join. Never will. Not worth the cash.

So um... let me see if i get this right.. if you dont think the betas are worth the subscription cost... why hate FilePlanet??
All of you fileplanet haters (there is only 1 reason for the common idiot to actively hate a site like that, and that is because they are jealous of the betas and downloads);
THERE IS NO WAY YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN ACCESS TO THE BETAS OFFERED BY FILEPLANET IF FILEPLANET DID NOT EXIST.
So if you are one of those idiots that hate Fileplanet because you want the betas to be "free" and you think that Fileplanet is "stealing" betas from you and making you pay for them..
Think again, the only way to get into betas are by actively checking gamesites each day and then being lucky enugh to get accepted into a closed or a rare open beta.
With fileplanet, more people have a chanse, and a system like that simply doesnt work for free with all the developer relations etc they have to suck up to, newsflash thats how a corporation works, so shut your filthy mouth and start to use your brain. k thx cya

There were plenty of game betas before fileplanet started doing this, and they were free of charge. Sure you had to dig around game news sites to get them, but they were entirly free and it was a much better way of doing it. Theres no excuse for making people pay to get access to beta's, its just a business scheme to make money off gamers, and people buy into it, so its not gonna stop.
Yeah thats how a corporation works, doesnt mean we have to like it, or agree with it. I despise fileplanet because they are one of the many companies that uses entertainment to make a shitload of money, not just to provide a means to entertain. If FP didnt exist I can gaurentee we would be seeing a post here that said Sign ups for Dungeon Siege II start today, and there wouldnt be a price tag on it.
No Fileplanet does not help gamers, the only people it helps are the corp. big shots.

What are you on? File.. whatever dont hold the rights on giving out betas only. Most betas before File... were giving out from the developers on there official site. This is just them trying to make money. Which is capitalism, but lame no the less.

Its not about hating file planet because of them getting betas and demos first. Its the fact why charge when betas/demos are free? Its to get more members and such. Than I suppose the people who dont sign up for sites like that can say the people who do are wasting money. I'm not the type who plays betas/demos myself, I usually rather wait for the retail.
Uhh, actually your wrong there. There has been official sites before that if you signed up, the first hundreds that did, got into the beta. EQ2 anyone? Sony Online has done that alot. Yea you have to be lucky to join into betas, but who doesnt? Not everyone is going to get in. And who says corporations are good? They do this ALL for money. Thats the whole point. They care about making a buck. Use your brain.
Aye, not impressed anyways? Like as if a slewth of the betas on there were worth it IMO.

It's leaked BTW as "dungeon siege2" (torrent it). It needs a cdkey to install, but whoever made the installer is a true dumbass because the game files are unpacked and in-tact in the "Files" folder of the installer. All you need to do is download d3dx9_24.dll, put it in there, then play! MP still needs a key, but lan works for singleplayer. Starts in Act 1 chapter 2. Peace,

Why do we always have to have the same discussions relating to Starforce and in this instance Fileplanet whenever any new game, or BETA comes to the publics attention. Booorring.
Just like playing BETAs incidently.
Fileplanet exclusivity is doing you a favour, playing a BETA is not an enjoyable experience and if you are truly hankering for the game it will probably taint that new game feeling when you eventually download/buy the final.

I would check out the release thats out there, its actually not a beta...its a demo. They give you like half of one act of of three acts in the game.

What i simply stated was, that i am sick of seeing these kinda posts being ruined by idiots yelling "fuck fileplanet" instead of discussing the game, yes im doing the same now but wtf..
All of you who so lame badly wanna get in the beta, either you sign up for the countless official closed betas and get lucky or not, or you sign up for fileplanet.
There is no reason to discuss fileplanet here, no reason at all. They provide betas, they do it to earn money no shit sherlock. But thats the way it is, wanna get in? Sit and wait for months for that beta acceptation email, or pay. Or shut your mouth. Simple as that.
