Yes, I read this when they put out the preview. It looks really outstanding. Really great, but it's far away. I hope by that time we'll get some RTW expansion first.
I'm really loving It that you can be a hero and participate in the battle yourself, outstanding.

That video was excellent, it sums up the entire game in 5 minutes.

I feel history went entirely out the door with this title, but well - sometimes just a bunch of good fun is nice too.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

The game looks great, but the guy who narrates it sounds like one of the most boring people on earth.

Looks very nice, but the units are still carbon copy clones of each other. They should work on at least putting some variation in that (not every single face different, but at least 2/3 models of faces for a unit type).
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I dont care about clone units.
The game looks god. I don't think it will reach rome tws complexity, and it looks a bit more comic than rome total war, but the feature allowing you to play as a hero nad fight in the war yourself looks great. Thats what I most missed in rome total war.

Looks good but what about the strategy element, RTW would have sucked if all you could do was fight the battles.

I hope you can recreate troy and play as one of the heroes, that would fucking rock!
Imagine, each side has units which spawn automatically, or are commanded by the computer, then each player takes control of one of the heroes from the battle. Kind of like the Aeon of Strife maps from warcraft 3 except you're in direct control.

Except it's online, with massively superior graphics and lots of other differences. But you get the idea. Even better if at the start of the match, one player on each side can be the commander.

looks pretty decent from all the movies-if a bit cartoonish and unrealistic, which is fine as long as it doesnt make itself out to be a historical game. the naval aspect looks pretty intriguing-this was the thing that RTW was sorely lacking. anyways hopefully though its not just a string of 'recreated' battles with nothing in between-some sort of campaign, even a linear one, with a feeling of accomplishment would be necessary to want to come back to it. im also hoping there is some sort of random-battle-generator or else good modability. if so stainless could have a winner.

It was awesome, the boat combat is so much fun.
Heroes need some balancing though, you can chop down a whole unit in a few swings.
