I know the GC doesn't read very well. It has poor media support, but you can fix it with a laser tweak. Some say that this doesn't improve the readability of the supported discs but only improves the media compability, but some disagree. It makes me confused and I really need the laser to read better (using Ritek GO4 disc read error every 2-3 hours and certain parts of games). Until now I think it is the only way to make the backups work, but if it is possible to fix the problem in another way please tell me. THX

Ritek GO4 is -. It's the miniDVD but it doesn't make any difference. Verbatim isn't a good brand. It is only the Taiyo Yuden dye which is better than the GO4 and 5 (not all verbatim discs uses the yuden dye). It has nothing to do with the medias (the laser reads like crap). Because you can't get better miniDVD's
