Quote:
A homicide investigator digs deeper into a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims.

Jack Reacher (previously titled One Shot) is a 2012 American thriller film. It is an adaptation of Lee Child's 2005 novel One Shot. Written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film stars Tom Cruise as the title character.

I've noticed this one has no thread. Great movie, 8/10 for me. And contains quite a bunch of one-liner laughs.

The pew pew is like 15 minutes at the end. The rest of time it's like that Shooter movie with Marky Mark crossed with Sherlock.

It has a couple of epic 'like a boss' moments.

Definitely not a bad mix then. Razz
(I've just noticed that McQuarrie will direct Mission Impossible 5 too, interesting)

Totally not. The only issue is a bit too tear-jerky moment with stories about each victim (see plot) but that's it.

And by the way Tommy did all the driving stunts himself:

Since I am awesome and eveyone wants my opinion, repost from the last watched thread:

It was slow (not the good kind) and it lacked any kind of suspension, but it also had unique action scenes and did its own thing. Enjoyable, but slow to start and a bit boring for a thriller. Rosamund Pike was gorgeous.

7/10

Well OK but judging by the last watched thread the number of people actually going to theaters has severely increased. But I can change the R to NR if you insist Smile

I agree. Perhaps I enjoyed it because I was relaxing on the couch with a tablet, grabbing some snacks from time to time. At the theater it might have seemed a teensy bit boring. Still good though. Rosamund So Much Win

I've just returned from the cinema, it was an OK action movie, nothing special though. I found the book to be a lot better.

6/10

6/10, had very few laughs ( the trailer bits pretty much) , few plotholes, not very good character building (the father, the old guy, in general all characters where pretty poorly introduced)

a cheap story, with expensive stunts, while entertaining but only semi good cause there has not been any good action movies lately at all to watch.

Tom Cruise should spread out to other genres. Would be interesting to see if he can do any other expressions besides playing "badass". He is like N.Cage already (no. movies), but unlike Cage he always plays the same character.

Hmm maybe you should just watch a little more Tom Cruise movies?
I remember him from many good movies where he is not an action star.

Looks like their upping the action quite a bit, the books I've read have been mostly snall scale fights. But i haven't read the book this is based on.

Saw the first one in the cinema, ok but not that great, think I'll dl/bluray this.
