If you like adventure games you must buy it when its out. I hope it will have Starforce 4.0 PRO or something so it will be very hard to crack/emulate.

i sure as HELL hope it does not. i have never supported any publisher who pushes out titles with intrusive copy protection and do not plan to. anyways i am sure it will not, i have faith in Ragnar and funcom.
anyways yes, definitely most anticipated for 06 here too. hopefully sometime in feb will be holding the cds/dvd in my hands <crosses fingers>

I don´t agree! Every year there´s titles that saves the genre, like Fahrenheit, NiBiRu,
80 Days, Myst V: End of Ages, and more... I don´t think it is dead

no they dont. it's not their problem you are stuck in the past and wont really try anything new. i have played almost all of those classic la and sierra games and have to say there are a few modern adv games that rival, even better the classics. to say everything sucks compared to them is closed-minded of you. besides, it was a different time, with a handful of devs working without strict publisher timelines or limitations.

i wasnt defending those games in particular(actually yeah most of those listed do stink), but just modern adventure games in general. alot of the games like indigo prophecy and stillife and longest journey and such are taking the genre in new directions and just because they dont belong to the golden age of adventure gaming, doesnt mean they "SUCK"

I certainly have not stuck to the past, since i played most of of the Sierra & Lucasarts adventure games recently. The only modern adventure games that can compare to the Sierra LucsArts classics are Siberia and Longest Journey. The story and dialogues were simply better written in LucasArts and Sierra games. There have been less than 8 good adenture games released in the past 5-6 years. So yes, adenture gaming is dying.

Well no shit, if games had no copy protection then no one would buy games at all and the entire industry would collapse.

The release date was November 2005, so you're right
This game is one of the few 'must buy' games... only one thing can stop me from buying it: A stupid protection th makes it impossible to play the game without having the cd in the drive (I don't mind having the game mounted in Daemon Tools)
