Got a new 4K TV LG UJ630Y (should be the equivalent to UJ6300). Also got a new PS4 Pro.

Every game i play has horrible ghosting (or what the hell this is called). Tested Prey, God of War and AC:O.

Tested on other 2 1080p TVs stiil the same, so was sure it's the PS4 pro but fuck this is also on my base PS4.

Tried 3 different HDMI cables including the one that comes with the Pro.

WTF could be causing this?? thank you.

Vids of the ghosting:

Looks like tv ghosting.

Just connect anything else and see if it does the same thing.. it's IPS so it shouldn't be this bad unless they don't have any overdrive

Thanks for helping, this is on 3 tvs! and 2 PS4! how the fuck can this be?

Some option on PS4 maybe?

I also moved to new cable company and they installed moca adapters around the house, could this be interference?

BTW no problem with PC to new TV connection.

Again thank you Smile

Tried different cables?
Clear the connection on ps4.
Go to settings and play around with video settings on ps4.
Ghosting in this day and age should not be an issue.
Probably a connection issue.
A setting problem.
Also check game mode on tv.

Also unless youre routing a signal through a different box nothing will interfere.

Im pretty sure this is a TV problem when you connect game console on it. The TV is on some "Game Mode" which has shitloads of processing going on, i suggest you change your HDMI output to "PC" mode or similar, or manually disable every single processing shit what your TV has in that specific output (motion enchancements etc..).

Thanks both for the help, strange thing is that the only time the ghosting stops is if i turn on TruMotion, if it's off (like in game mode you can't even choose TruMotion) then there's ghosting everywhere.

But the side effect of having TruMotion on are also not good, as the game gets choppy and in GoW there's even some shimmering on some ground textures.

Still doesn't explain how is it even possible this happens on so many devices? Confused

Have you tried a 60fps source?

Maybe look at the 60 and 30 fps rows on this site? https://www.testufo.com/

30 fps simply dont look good and the long persistence of a frame will cause ghosting in your perception almost no matter what. That would explain why TruMotion helps, as it artifically increases the frame rate.
