Hmm France is looking good lately, them and Germany are favorites imo. Argentina will probably fuck up again, and Brazil, will Neymar play?
England is an unknown too, they impressed in the last 2-3 years but again at official tornraments they fuck up.
I dont see a surprise team in the final. But ofcourse it all depends on the bracket too.
ea predicted france as winner (they predicted germany 4 years ago too)
they have a good team, but a in a knockout tournament little things can change everything. germany has even a better team than four years ago, but i doubt we can win again. reaching the semi finals is doable ofc and after that everything is possible
as always belgium as dark horses, maybe, but i dont think so. sweden could surprise us all imho (not with winning the title, but kicking out a huge favorite)
england? nope! spain? nope! brazil? dont think so! argentinia? nope (actually i think they wont even survive the group stage)
I expect no less of the Quarter Final for Belgium (based on the players), but as usual I'm willing to bet the talent will be squandered with shit choices/tactics.
Started of well with Naingolan not even getting a spot in the pre-selection.
As winners, nope no chance unless they have luck on their side. The real big teams have that bit of extra to neutralize us.
France and Germany seem to have a steady growth so they come up as the favourites for me (especially France).
Neuer is set to play against Austria in a friendly match today.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
As an external viewer (first time ) I hope for some surprises to spice things up a little, though the usual suspects are indeed those with the most depth overall. So much that Spain, France and Germany's second lines would still make highly competitive teams, but finding the perfect alchemy is never easy and there are many youngsters which is an important variable to consider.
Belgium could definitely do well if Martinez doesn't fuck things up both mentally and tactically (giant if). Brazil are solid too on paper (they were quite impressive in the qualifications), plus they'll want to cleanse that horrific 2014 that's still haunting them so they'll probably play their hearts out. Argentina as a team is honestly very difficult to decipher, realistically it's one of their weakest sides ever but...if the scrappy defense/midfield miraculously hold, Messi carries everyone again and for some weird astral conjunction Higuain doesn't miss any sitters, they still do have a concrete chance.
Then there are all the loose cannons like Portugal, Croatia, Uruguay and..good ol' England (the loosest of them all xD)
