haha i loved Friday 13th on C64.. it was probably the first open world game i played, it made me wish all games were like that (only with slightly better gameplay, and even larger world)

If we're honest here, the whole idea seems to be to replicate the stereotypical horror movie from the 80's.. sometimes stereotypical makes sense.
it wont really work like a classic slasher film unless they seriously gimp the girls' abilities so they cant just rush the killer and stab him seveal times.
maybe they ll have something like a "fear gauge" for every character, that forbids them from attacking the killer if its high and instead running away and setting obstacles etc.
maybe if the killer runs into an obstacle or falls on the ground, the characters fear gauge would recede and they would have a small window to actually attack/ fight back.
wishful thinking though, most likely the killer will just have shitloads of hp and the other characters very little.
Isn't that the whole point? It's playing on the 70s/80s slasher tropes.
ObsCure is trying to be teen horror movie too but they break the canon with things like the smart person is the blonde with the big tits, the outcast guy is the most agile, etc.
