I've known that my ISP gives a free news server. I've known that it's speed-capped newsgroups handled by a major provider (don't quite remember who though). I've been to nzb... and yet, I've never gone beyond manually going through the posts and looking for packs I need, which limited the usefulness of the service greatly...
all it took was NZB-O-Matic and I'm now retrieving at about 70kb/s, which is nothing like the 1mb/s top/ 200kb/s average I get with a good IRC bot, but it's still leagues better than the day-long queues of such and the 2-20kb/s of BT...
Ah well, better late access to teh warez than never...

no, I only now realized that it was easy enough to use that I wouldn't have to sit on front of the comp pecking out files for every release.

I'm not paying for warez... period. I don't want someone to get sued/raided and have my cc and personal info used as a bargaining chip. I don't trust random companies on the internet, to the point that I virus scan shit I get from reliable sites, on principle.
Regardless, if you don't feel like paying for NZB's, torrent .com has free nzb's for download. You have to reg though.

well ... newzbin.com is premium access to nzb files (including discussion threads and retention of nzb files for ~50 days so it works well with giganews), and I think they're quite worth it. But yes, there are several free nzb file providers if you don't want to pay.
www.nzbzone.com is another one, although they've been having some server overload problems lately.
