It was built-in to the second version of the master system. This game was very difficult but had its charm. I would def give this a shot. me to my mum was mega poor the master system was the best gift i ever had and this was the only game i had was about 8 years old couldnt save in them days though i used to have to leave the system on for days haha

Wasn't that a Bios with Alex the Kid and a cartridge version of Sonic? Edit: Hmm right, seems late in development they also had a bios with Sonic. Played the piss out of Alex, one of my favourites and it came free. Though we had the first SMS with super Hang-on and Safari hunt, 2 years later we got an SMS II (with Alex) for the cheap as well.

My favorite Alex game was Alex Kidd in Shinobi world. I played that one through over and over again.
