An action RPG from a team of ex-Ubisoft, Blizzard and Konami devs
Dark Star Game Studios is a Hong Kong-based outfit whose team is comprised of ex-Ubisoft, Blizzard and Konami developers. Its debut venture, Sinner: Sacrifice of Redemption, is a boss battling action role-player that echoes the likes of Dark Souls, Shadow of the Colossus and Dante's The Divine Comedy.
Filling the boots of deceased soldier Adam, you're tasked with thwarting a series of uber-tough bosses who're said to "represent the seven deadly sins". Only by doing so can our Adam hope to "escape a horrific afterlife", and, to complicate matters further still, players are forced to level down one stat prior to each fight as a form of sacrifice..................
the font didnt stand out as being anything particularily bad, i dont get the problem
the problem i DO see however is that even on promotional material, the game seems to have fps issues which doesnt bode well.. and im not a fan of the weird toon style theyve gone for.
I'm kinda curious, even a so-so Souls cousin would still be better than most of the trip(l)ey-A stuff released these days, though the chances of this game turning into a flabby potato are quite high (we don't know much about the level design or the combat itself either, both vital).
Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption will launch on Nintendo Switch alongside the previously announced PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows and Mac versions. All platforms will receive a simultaneous launch in Q3 2018.
SINNER: Sacrifice for Redemption may remind you of the Dark Souls games with its brutal difficulty and boss battles. However, this game comes with its own unique twist: with every boss battle that the player wins, they must then level down their character. This means that the game will keep on getting more difficult as the player character gets weaker, and your skills will be put to test.
