My recomendations (and some which can be seen in the videos below):

I've uninstalled uneeded bloatware using this guide: https://www.howtogeek.com/224798/how-to-uninstall-windows-10s-built-in-apps-and-how-to-reinstall-them/

Batch script (alpha version Smile) which runs 2-3 times a week with Task Scheduler:

Code:
@echo off
del /f /q C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
del /f /q C:\Windows\Temp
del /f /q %temp%
cleanmgr /sagerun:65535

Settings -> Privacy -> < Almost everything on Off >
Settings -> Personalization -> Start -> < Everything but "Show app list in Start menu is on off >

Documents folder moved&linked to Sync.com "sync folder".

My display is calibrated using DisplayCal & i1 Display Pro

I don't like 3rd party Privacy/Start menu tools so that's why I wasn't mentioning anything about them.

I will write some other settings what I find to be useful or worth mentioning.

Here are a couple of videos with some good tips:

Thanks for the tips! My ghetto (standard) version that I updated from Win 7 some time ago and which I practically use only for gaming was trimmed in a similar way. I've removed all the useless Winderpapps stuff through CCleaner, applied the trusty O&O ShutUp10 and manually disabled forced updates/privacy/silly diagnostic processes.

When in idle the system now always uses <20% of my 8GB since there's basically nothing running on the background if we exclude MSI Afterburner+RTSS. Can't complain. Razz I haven't touched its appearance since I don't care about that, as long as it's functional I'm fine with the default look.

I can attest to my link provided, as I got 3 new laptops, each of which I couldn't be assed installing LTSB ATM, as new version is due, so I just stuck with BloatoPro on each, and with all the tweaks done in link, I can say (for myself anyway, and no complaints from my daughter & son, lol), it all works great, no hitches whatsoever Smile

I will wipe all lappy's and go with LTSB new when it arrives though Wink
