First reviews are out and give some hope. But unfortunately it's Deboobo protected
I've not played a Warhammer game for a very long time as they always seem to be budget productions and get shoddy reviews. On paper it should be a massive franchise, just give us x-com type game-play (with less bs randomness) in the warhammer universe, should be easy.
It runs the same at medium or low. It doesnt really change. I only played a few minutes in the beggining last night, seems fine at a first glance. Will play properly later
WTF! possibly the worst fuck you i can think a developer doing, so its a or not play (probably the latter).

The game would have gotten a thumbs up but for one thing. The developers for some ridiculous reason decided to put 11 ingame items(not skins or cosmetics but actual weapons and armor) behind twitch drops on the day of release. In order to get these items you not only have to create and link a Frontier account and a Twitch account but you have to watch hours and hours of inane twitch streamers prattling on instead of actually playing the game you paid for.
If there was another way to earn these ingame it would not be a big deal but I'm not gonna watch ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Angry Joe for 2 hours just to get a weapon.
Ok sir, here's the keys to your new Audi, if you want to unlock power-steering, climate control etc. you must tune into these 5-6 gospel radio stations for the first 3 weeks.
Also you can unlock an additional 30% power by buying reebok brand shoes and scanning your receipt through our 3 partner portals.
I watched a few streams and the game looks pretty damn good. I look forward to playing this when I get access to my PC. But there were signs of bullshit since the preorders. Locking a legendary hero like Castellan Garran Crowe behind a DLC is quite shameful. But Grey Knights used to be my table top army and I bit the bullet and got the deluxe edition from cdkeys.

I 'member that men from a grey knights book a while back.
When and if this is cracled I might give it a go, been reading a shit ton of books since 2019 but haven't played a thing, table top or videogame.

The weapon drop thing is especially dumb when the majority of the drops are specifically on Frontiers stream and they have only streamed the game 3 times so most people probably missed that due to time zones. I was looking and it seems even streamers like Angry Joe do not have another stream scheduled for the drop so that will be another weapon no one will get.
If you are going to release like 10 weapon drops, add them to every streamer and make the watch time 15 minutes per drop. Expecting people to watch 10 plus hours for all drops is just dumb.
You should not have weapon drops on some cringe shit streaming service. If it were skins maybe not so bad, but its actual stripped game content, ridiculous.
They want $60 USD for this game
"just run six tabs on mute to twitch angry joe derp stream etc".. No fuck you how about respecting paying customers? everytine someone pays and does this you signal the industry that this turd practice is okay.
We are pleased to see so many of you enjoying Warhammer 40000 Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters. Whilst we are pleased to see you enjoying the gameplay, we are also listening to your feedback.
One of the areas we have noted is the frustrations around the various Twitch drop campaigns we ran around the launch of the game. Whilst the sole objective of these campaigns was to drive awareness, we understand many feel this locked in-game items away from them.
This was certainly not our intention and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this. As such, we will make all items from every Twitch drop campaign available to players via one of our planned updates in May. We will confirm which update and exact date when this is finalised.
We hope this addresses your frustrations and you can continue to smite the forces of Chaos with these items in your Armoury.
