Hi

I was a HUGE Ultima Online fan back in the days and I think that most of the new MMORPG sux alot. But I heard good things about Guild Wars and it has no monthly fees. So any old schools plays Guild Wars ? What is it feeling like ? How's the economic system, the player killing, etc..

Thanks alot.

lol.. economic system?

There isnt one, trust me, you will not like this game! Think of Guild Wars as the counter strike of hack and slash RPG's.. there is nothing more too it! The closest thing you will get to "old school" is Eve Online (in my opinion).. I do think WOW should be tried by all, its not for everyone, but it is still awsome and is a true MMORPG.

I'm a long time UO vet myself, and nothing compares to this day, it's a shame really... If you're looking for something to bring back the old feelings, you won't find it. Guild Wars is enjoyable though, but is nowhere near the kind of game UO was.

It's time to move on my friend, UO is dead and is never coming back. Smile

UO is silly, "hey! To begin with! You have to go around killing snails and bunnies!"

Wink

Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

I'm a UO oldschool too and the game the who look the most like it yet is Morrowind even if it's in single player. All MMORPG these say follow the same kind of gameplay who suck in my opinion too.

I tried UO a week ago, and I found it very confusing. I din't know where to go, or what to do...

Sure, you can't understand a bit of this game without any help lol... it take like a month to be familiar with everything

Ahh the good old UO days, how I long for their return.

There is a server that you can play on. Quite populated too.

Any tips on a good free mmorpg . i don't want to go and start paying for a subscription based one incase i don't like it that much.

Always liked the look of these kinds of games , just don't like the way they somewhat could overpower your freetime. but always willing to give one a try Smile

but you know what Chinese whispers are like; some newbie will read your comment and suddenly run and spread it all over the internet that the new 2010 Banwave disables all your XBLA games when you're banned.

I think WOW is FAR more "Hack and slah" than guild wars...
