Just thought I'd share this fun little Diablo clone that I recently found with you all. The demo just came out yesterday, so you can download it now and try it if you like.

The game is basically a duplicate of Diablo 2, and many parts are ripped straight from D2, but it has a few improvements as well. The graphics are more cartoonish, but I found them to be done pretty well. Music and sound effects are also done well.

My review is short, because I've only played the demo, but overall it looks like the registered version will be pretty damned playable. It boasts unlimited randomly generated levels, and seems to have a nice random drop setup like D2, as well as equipment socketing and item enchanting. You also get a pet dog or cat that you can transform into other monsters with food you fish for in the dungeon.

Anyhow, thought I'd share this little find since the PC gaming world seems to be dry or wholly uninteresting to me as of late, and this game sparked some interest as it seems like a good dungeon romp in the likeness of Nethack/Diablo 2.

Their forums are pretty dead, but the game looks solid.

I checked this one out and really enjoyed it. I was so impressed that I went ahead and registered my copy; money well spent, I must say. Theres a lot of replayability in games like this, where every game will be different from the next.

The "broadband" 128mb version is the full game, but needs to be unlocked with a serial.

I finished the demo, btw, and it lets you play your character down to level 3 in the dungeon, but then won't let you go down the stairs from there.

Definitely looks like a winner. It made me re-install Diablo 2 as well. lol.

I don't like to post off-topic, but since there are so many diablo fans around I'd like to see if I can suck anyone into MU Online. IMO it's pretty similar to Diablo 2 and plays a lot like it, except it's of the massive multiplayer variety. Since the recent thread about free mmorpg games I decided to give it a ride and now 6 days later it looks like I'll be playing it for a while. Check it out. http://www.muonline.com/. My ingame names are RenHoek, Stimpson and SoCute.

btw. GoblinToe, tnx for the link. I'll check out Fate for sure.

I hardly ever post but I figured now would be a good time. Beware of Wild Tangent as it is a heavy spyware program and the people who make it will try and double talk you and sware it is not. On one hand they will say it is not spyware and then they will say it does send your private information to them. They will say it is not spyware but they will monitor for your email addresses. It also has a tendancy to move itself around without you even knowing it unless you do some heavy checking in your registry. It's a shame because some ofthere games are cute and fun but I think thats the bait on the hook. Just figured I would give you guys a heads up on that and say beware. Wink

IT IS TRUE! Stay away from "Wild Tangen" , I did registry check with Spybot , Adaware 1.5 , Antyspy , and they found shit load of spyware related to "Wild Tangen"
Beware!

lol. That game IS addicting. It's complexity doesnt compare to games
like sacred, but when you see all those cool characters standing in town
you will do everything to make those few more lvl's. Hit me up sometimes.
I got lvl 46 DW already. btw, I play on Maya server, usually #4.
