here's how you can fix the ar with ifoedit:

Click “Open” and browse to the “VIDEO_TS” folder and load “VTS_01_0.IFO” when loaded, in the top window, click on “VTSI_MAT” then in the bottom window, double click on “0000200” a pop-up window will appear where you can change the Aspect Ratio, you should also tick “Automatic Letterboxed”
(Just open each IFO, find any reference to 4:3, and change it to 16:9. You should also select 'Automatic Letterboxed' too. Make sure you save each IFO when your finished.)

Or you could watch it in BSPlayer and change the aspect ratio in the video menu Razz

I found that the 16:9 is still wrong aspect, because its shot in 2.35:1.
Using ifoedit is not enough because it doesnt have an option to choose this ratio.
So it still looks streched. I am going to try and re-encode it to xvid with high bitrate and adjust the aspect ratio during the encode...if someone knows how to edit the aspect ratio to 2.35:1 with ifoedit, then please enlightment me.

just extract the video_ts folder from the iso,
open up the.ifo and .bup files with ifoedit and change where you see 4:3 to 16:9 letterboxed saving the changes,
it takes about 2 minutes then burn the video_ts folder with nero,
your dvd player should then automatically correct the ar

No, that wont work, it is still in wrong aspect, it needs to be conveted to 2.35:1 to get the right aspect !
With 16:9 it is still too tall aspect.

Are you people blind? Even with the "fix" it is not in the right aspect. This movie is NOT 16:9. It supposed to be 2.35:1 ...anyways, i managed to merge the whole movie in single one .vob which i'm going to re-encode using 2pass xvid. I resized it with lancroz3 (upscaled) so that the already low resolution wont be smaller, so the final resolution will be 540x240 which has roughly the right aspect ratio.

just trying to help the guy out,
ehe I watched it on me xbox with xbmc anyway, you've just got to change the pixel aspect ratio on that, no fix needed then, just increase the setting until the ar is perfect, somewhere around 1.65 gives the correct picture
btw the ar in the xvid release looks about spot on

Star.Wars.Episode.3.Revenge.of.the.Sith.WORKPRINT-MoBsTeRs

IT's the same source as VISA but with one diferrence the counters has been blurred nicely Wink

BTW : There's a fix for ratio aspect for Visa
Star.Wars.Episode.3.Revenge.of.the.Sith.WP.DVDR-ViSA.Aspect.Ratio.FiX-iND grab it if u want

Code:
extract the video_ts folder from your Star.Wars.Episode.3.Revenge.of.the.Sith.WP.DVDR-ViSA. iso
unrar these files to the video_ts folder choosing to overwrite any files already there
Burn video_ts folder with nero
Tested on the 3 dvd players I have here, as long as pan and scan isn't set in the options your dvd player should adjust the AR to 16:9
