If it's another modern game I won't bother with it, I'm tired of M4's and AK's.

How about Battlefield 2143, or a steampunk BF game that allows for creativity when it comes to weapons, vehicles and gadgets.

I'll even take another WW2 BF game, maybe an alternate history one with technology that's more advanced, like Wolfie:TNO.

Nah who am I kidding, BF4.5 incoming!

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Steampunk and alternative won't sell. 99% of BF players think of themselves as super land warriors that would do equally good in real life combat. And they want it in a 100% realistic setting.

Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

I'd actually like a new WW2 shooter with new mechanics and graphics also. A re-imagined COD 1.

The dream. I'm also for WW2 BF game rather then another modern combat setting.

WW2 could be good but I don't think they will go for it. That would definitely limit the amount of additional weapon attachment bullshit they could create for the game.

I'd like to see World War 1, with bi-plane dogfights, zeppelins, early tank designs etc.

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that BF5 will be a continuation of 4.
I would have loved a WW2 BF though.

World War 1 could work, Frostbite could easily handle large maps with trenches and craters and some 128 vs 128 players or so, whether the actual console hardware could is another issue though... Razz
(Joint Operations had some early 128 vs 128 team play too but I don't think the game did all that well though it did get two expansion packs AFAIK.)

Paper-thin tanks and rickety aircraft too. Very Happy
(Maxim machine guns, flamethrowers, shotguns and gas to name some other things that were in use, bashing people with shovels and customized jaggy bayonets.)

EDIT: I guess there wasn't that many females on the frontlines though for those promoting equality and all that..

EDIT: What was that other semi-fictional WW1 game? Codename Eagle I think.

I hope it won't be another BF3/BF4.

Some other "extreme" timeline i prefer more. Like this:

I have no interest in the game being set during one of the World Wars.

And i also hope they make much more use of the destruction feature of Frostbite. But i doubt it. :O
