I was with frictional since begining. Since it was an independent garage studio doing penumbra test demo. And penumbra is still my fav game of theirs.
but this looks like space, cryogenic sleep, wake, monsters, event horizon thingy (please)

Great news, and indeed looks like we'll get a futuristic setting this time, which is really a fantastic idea when you think about it.
I hope Frictional can develop this game themselves without any outsourcing/external co-operation, cause I still have that sour Piggy aftertaste in my mouth.

Not that I know of..so far they've always been "faithful" to their usual hybrid pew-free formula. Perhaps with a bigger budget and some new additions to their team they could do something like that, but I'm not sure.

Why do you want a shooter or RPG from them? They are clearly not interested in such games and it is their right (to decide). There is a lot of developers out there who make shooters, rpg, etc, you always have something to choose from.

But... what is this has to do with anything? They are not making "System Shock 3 without shooting or RPG elements". They are making a sci-fi horror. Not very sci-fi horror is a SS clone.
Just so you know: whatever you heard here or anywhere is bullshit, we know jack shit about actual game. That counter on the offsite is a first real promise of some info.

Somasystems.ORG is where now nexfrictionalgame.com redirects to. It is a special site for ARG, but on the same server thus why it does not work - overloaded due to huge amount of requests.
