Neuromancer is an upcoming Apple TV Plus adaptation of William Gibson's sci-fi classic.
The 10-part story, which boasts a great cast including Briana Middleton (Sharper), follows a top but damaged super-hacker named Case who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly. She's billed as a "razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets".

Apple TV+ announces “Neuromancer,” new drama based on the multi-award-winning science fiction novel by William Gibson
New series to be created for television by Graham Roland and JD Dillard and produced by Skydance Television, Anonymous Content and DreamCrew Entertainment
Apple TV+ announced today that it will expand its acclaimed slate of science fiction offerings with “Neuromancer,” a new 10-episode drama based on the award-winning novel of the same name by William Gibson. It will be created for television by Graham Roland (“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” “Dark Winds”) and JD Dillard (“Devotion,” “The Outsider,” “Sleight”). A co-production between Skydance Television and Anonymous Content, “Neuromancer” will also be produced by Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment, with Roland serving as showrunner and Dillard set to direct the pilot episode.
The series will follow a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.
“We’re incredibly excited to be bringing this iconic property to Apple TV+,” said creators and executive producers Roland and Dillard. “Since we became friends nearly 10 years ago, we’ve looked for something to team up on, so this collaboration marks a dream come true. ‘Neuromancer’ has inspired so much of the science fiction that’s come after it and we’re looking forward to bringing television audiences into Gibson’s definitive ‘cyberpunk’ world.”

The reason there were so many failures to make a Neuromancer movie is that it's been considered impossible to make it into a movie to which I agree. The novel is so dense and rich in descriptions, symbolism, wild concepts and varied storyline that perhaps a trilogy would be needed to even come close, sort of like Jackson's LotR.
Apple TV has some good bangers (like Severance, For all mankind and maybe Silo), but Foundation was atrociously bad. Woke bullshit.
Not holding my breath.
Didnt for all mankind turn pretty woke at some point also? Seem to start to just focus on stronk women at some point and i lost interest.
I just skipped over those mentally. But yes. But then it turned around.
One other series I absolutely loved was Man in the High Castle, but then what a 180% they did. Turning in to the worst type of woke unexpectedly. That pissed me off bigtime.
haha the good old bait and switch. The Boys S1 was also incredible. Never cared to watch after that.
@Yondaime yeah, heard good thing about Commonwealth Saga! Yes Denis Villeneuve is great. I'm a big fan of Blade Runner 2049, Arrival and Prisoners, i'd say it's the movies i've watched the most times when it comes to new movies.
I do need to watch Dune 2 + watch Dune 1 again before that.

Show is coming along apparently. Apple added some woke elements; Molly is played by Briana Middleton, a black woman. It's always jarring when the character you have in your mind for decade(s) after reading the book is replaced with a completely different image. It happened with Idris Elba as Roland in the shitty "The Dark Tower" movie. I love Idris Elba, just not as Roland.
If I hadn't read the books I wouldn't bat an eye though. I guess that's the crux of it.
Mark Strong as Armitage seems like a really good pick though.
