Soldier of Fortune 3: Pay Back

Code:
The EBGames and GameStop retail web sites has posted up new pre-order entries for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back for November 2007. The publisher listed is Activision which strongly suggests that a third game in the brutal first person shooter series in in development. The first two games in the series were developed by Raven Software and generated a lot of contraversy at the time of their release due to both games' use of technology that let players shoot off specific enemy body parts.

UPDATE 1#:

Code:
Our source confirmed that SoF: Pay Back is indeed in development, although not by RavenSoft but rather by Activision's internal Minneapolis studio, known for the Cabelas titles.

UPDATE 2#:

Code:
Activision has now confirmed that there is indeed a new game being developed in their Soldier of Fortune game series. According to a statement from the company, Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back will be handled by "Activision's Minneapolis office". This is most likely a reference to Activision Value, their budget priced game brand that has offices in nearby Eden Prairie, Minnesota that publishes, among other titles, Calela branded hunting games. There is no word if Raven Software, the developer of the first two games in the series, will have any involvement in the making of the new game.

UPDATE 3#:

Code:
According to a source which wishes to remain anonymous, the developer of the new Soldier of Fortune game is Cauldron who created the History Channel: Civil War FPS for Activision Value in 2006.

Dunno, with Raven not doing it, I have my doubts it will be as good... Mind you I said that about the Terminator 3 movie and although it wasnt as good, it wasnt half bad either..

SOF2 was just awesome, throwing knives to the guts just to see it spill all over the floor?

can't see that in any other games.
