Titled as Antstream and developed as the brainchild of CEO Steve Cottam and inspired by his involvement in 3DO development, this service features a lovingly curated selection of games from a catalogue of thousands of fully licensed titles!
Streaming 8/16-bit games? Hmm, not sure how that would be a better experience compared to local emulator with TOSEC-library (or owned original games) unless it's a question of playing games one doesn't own legally.
These games are incredibly easy to find online, they're tiny so easy to download, there's no benefit to streaming these games since every calculator can run them these days, etc.
On top of that, I feel that people are yearning for physical goods again - prices of old consoles have been going up and up because they want the original controllers, the original "feel", ... .
Personally, I've also started investing in my older consoles, getting mod chips, better graphics cables, ... and I plan to get every major console from the early 80's to now, modded or with Everdrive, with 8bitDo controllers if possible (original console gamepads had very short leads) of the right type. In the end, each console will cost me around €150-200 to complete but it will be the most ideal experience.
