Does it (or will it) have tabs? As in - "open in new tab". I browse the forum, and others, the way that I scroll down, open interesting topics in separate tabs and then proceed to browser them. Breadth first search if you like Wink

If you can compile if for iOS too - what are you using? React? Native Script? Cordova (God forbid!). Or just Flutter?

I didn't like it, it's weird Very Happy everything's a bloody widget, and I don't know Dart.

Like if you have to tidy something up you need a new widget inside a widget, all the parenthesis Evil or Very Mad

Ah nice, so scraping is just to obtain the post ids? Yuck. Also per-post BBCode sounds icky. Do you get an acceptable loading performance in 3G/4G?

Can you add me to your repo? I wanted to look to make an iOS version, maybe I can get ideas for the scraping

Didn't try it yet, I barely use my phone for anything but reading books. I have enough PC-time to browse the hump PC Master Race style Very Happy No need to struggle with a small screen.

Ok, quick things - I'd rather have the toolbar in a different color, maybe sth like the forum background? White is...too white.
Other thing is - the log in screen - back button should go back to the board, not close the app.
List item's height - judging by the sections list (subforums?) I assume that you don't have a max height for them and text overflow, since the items have a different height based onthe length of the description. So if there was a topic with especially long title, its "item" would also be bigger than the rest.

One cool feature would be the ability to get rid of all those sticky topics, since they take up the whole first screen, at least on my phone (nexus 5x) in pc games arena

Yeah, cells (thanks, I forgot this word in that context, brainfreeze (or overheat) Very Happy) should be the same height. Just pick a reasonable one, like the tile + 2 lines of description and 1 with date. Or 3 lines for description, not necessarily with anything in them, they might be an empty placeholder. Lists like that are much nicer to look at when they are consistent. Of course, if the list contains different types of items, they might vary.

Since you're using Flutter, you should be familiar with material design guidelines - https://material.io/design/components/lists.html
They are pretty well written and have links to implementations.

Gave it a try and the browsing experience is already miles ahead of the desktop version on the phone.
I think you have covered all the features i'd like to be added in your ' What it cannot do (yet): 'section.
Loading posts is quite fast on a slow connection btw Smile

Edit : Just a suggestion and it's definitely not something critical, its more of a design thing than a feature request but maybe u can add a drawer that can be pulled out by swiping from the left edge and add all the things that are on the left side of the screen on the desktop site like Signing in and out and the 'Options' as well as the 'Quick Nav' tabs..........provided you can get theses features working Razz
