If you guessed that Vane shares some artistic talent with near-mythical PlayStation game The Last Guardian, then you're right on the money. The indie game is being made by a studio called Friend and Foe, which includes former TLG developers Rasmus Deguchi and Rui Guerreiro. Guerreiro's bio on the site says that he was an artist on The Last Guardian since its earliest days.P
Friend and Foe is still in very early days on Vane, but the visuals they have released look quite fetching. Here's how they're describing it:P
A child with an odd ability stuck in a strange land. A dangerous natural environment inhabited by a strange civilization. Vane is an open-world adventure game based on mystery and exploration.
A recurring dream a thousand years old.
A land shut off from the world by walls of sand.
A glimmering power enslaving the ones within.

Vane is an open-world adventure game based on mystery and exploration currently in development by Friend & Foe for the PC and every other platform we can get our hands on. This is an early teaser of gameplay footage from TGS 2014.
Vane is a single-player game being developed by a few ex-members of The Last Guardian team. The game focuses on unraveling the mysteries of an unknown land via exploration, puzzle-solving and other features yet to be revealed, in an atmospheric and powerful setting.
PLATFORMS: PC first, others TBA
RELEASE: when it's done
TLG? The Last Guardian? Not really relevant, since (if by some god damn miracle it will be even released) it would never be released for PC anyway. The closest thing to LG/ICO we could get was RIME, which turned out to be exclusive for lemmings/peasants.
Vane is our only hope. A weak one, though. Could end up like RIME/Rapture - first-party exclusive.
Haha oh well, so much for the initial 'PC first, other platforms TBA'
(I added NR for now, but it probably would be better to just throw it in the console section and be done with it). Let's wait for more details
In a forgotten and ruined land, a strange golden dust transforms a free-spirited bird into a lost child, setting off a chain of events that will reshape the world in unexpected ways.
Vane releases on January 15 on PS4
PC Version planned for later:
Quote:
Still planning it! PS4 first, and then we'll tackle PC!
Vane, which first launched for PlayStation 4 in December 2018, will launch for PC via Steam on July 23 for $19.99, developer Friend & Foe announced. The soundtrack will be on sale on Steam and Bandcamp for $6.99.
This PC release of Vane includes all the updates added to the PS4 version, including more forgiving checkpointing, better performances, and numerous bug fixes.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
