Obsidian Entertainment announces Grounded, their new survival game with a small twist. Go big or never go home in Spring 2020. An Xbox Game Preview title built with community feedback and premiering on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC.
Yeah it kinda looks a bit Fortnite I suppose. Those are some ridiculously large hands too.
EDIT: Yeah the hands is what the dude complains about not the blur or the weird proportions in general or the generic gameplay copy formula (For what's seen in the trailer at least.) no it's the hands but then again they are kinda hitting ME Andromeda in terms of uncanny valley here and body size ratios although instead of tiny torso it's huge handedness.
EDIT: Also is the entire neighborhood into kid shrinking or is this just a very open relationship family seeing how they have most major ethnics going then again there's probably character customization. Plus monetization for apparel.
Hi kids you're all adopted and now we're going to play a game to see who gets to stay in the family! Mad old dad doing science and weird shit as per usual perhaps.
EDIT: Meh it's probably just Saturday morning cartoon villainy so Faust the Flasher ran past the nearby school hoping for some early morning screaming and a start of another evil happy day but got laughed at instead and came back with a vengeance and a beam cannon, look who's tiny now!
EDIT: Seriously though that kid has two sizes of hands and they're both too big.

why the ultra large hands? it's really super creepy. it reminds me of that lawyer in Always Sunny in Philly who wears fake hands because he has a complex.
Thats some epic sausage fingers. And lol at Obsidian for sinking so low as to be bought by microshut. Enjoy being pissed on by this giant entity which knows nothing about gaming anymore, and see how long you can hold out by making turd games like this
It's true that in this particular genre kids are dictating what is "popular", but if Obsidian is focusing on that, they should release it as a free-to-play title, and as far as I know this is not the case.
That's a pretty narrow view. If YOU don't fit in, it doesn't mean it needs to bare a 'certain', fixed, label.
I think it looks pretty fun and cute. It's like returning to childhood for a bit and living some cute, fantastic... imaginariums. I am gonna give this a try, as it triggers lovely childhood countryside memories.

But you're the one making it look like it's a bad thing
I'd rather have games like this directed to kids, other games directed more towards adults, games directed to hipsters, games directed to jocks, etc etc. The alternative(or one of the alternatives) is having aaa companies trying to cram in everything for everyone in a game, trying hard to go for those mass appeal megabucks.
And even more credit to them for going about it in a new IP instead of butchering something already existing.
Remember, this could have been Alpha Protocol: The new generation (if sega allowed it and if every party involved thought it would give them any advantage to use that property)
