The DLC was fantastic too, I really enjoyed it when I played the "Complete Edition". I've ran through the game 3 times now and I'll happily do it again on PC with increased res/framerate. They can keep the visuals identical and I'd still be blissfully happy.

I find this game extremely overrated. The story and characters are so bland and unappealing, like written to fit the checklist of a hidden agenda. The gameplay is alright, mostly due to enemy variety and how you have to deal with each one differently. But it was not enough to carry the game for me, especially since the side content reeks of Ubisoft's formula.

You're extremely overrated! The game is not, the story is awesome, especially if you take the time to find and read the lore through the abandoned underground facilities.

On one hand I like deep stories in games but on the other cramming all the backstory into collectibles/logs/tapes etc is really, really outdated and there needs to be a better way to present that story to the player. Not a criticism for this game but for many others that fall into this trap of "tell, don't show".
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Well the plot is simple... venture out into the world to find the identity of the killers that attacked your village. That's the basis, which expands as you explore the world and uncover more of how the motives of the killers are tied into the past. The "lore" is told mostly in collectibles due to the fact there's really not much of a civilisation left, so you find remnants of the "old ones". I don't really know how different/better it could have been handled.
I do agree that the "tower" stuff (Longneck robots) apes Ubisoft's formula of unlocking towers/etc to expand the map, but, again, it works really well in the "lore" of the game and makes more sense to me.
(and yes, I'm aware I'm fanboying. A lot. This game blew me away and ticked every box, hitting every note.)

The lore is good, I never said it isn't, in fact I didn't say anything. It's actually well written and full of mystery as you only get bread crumbs each time. However, the exposition is horrible since you need to find collectibles to expand the lore and the conclusion is meh to say the least.
The main/side stories are just generic. They lack any moral choices, memorable characters or impactful consequences. There's a prince in the game that instantly falls in love with the main character, because reasons.
The content is also generic and I don't know who can defend it. It's a copy paste type of content with AC-like towers and a lot of markers on the map for trivial tasks that don't provide a meaningful experience. Sure, if you like this copy pasta content, it's fine, but this ain't the standard for quality.
The gameplay mechanics are the best thing about the game. The combat system isn't all that great with melee feeling like an afterthought . But the enemy's design is impressive. There's a great variety of robotic monsters with various strengths and weakness and you have to play around them. A lot of this world's charm come from these robotic animals and I do see the appeal in this rather unique approach.
I didn't say the game is bad, it's just overrated.

I am sure M&Kb will / would be perfectly implemented. Just like in Jedi Fallen Order...
