could be something with dhcp. [enter ip manualy?]
maybe network config. isnt setup properly on that machine.
or try downloading the latests drivers for the networkcard.

Had the same problem so i just put in a other card and disabled the built in one, they mostly suck anyway!

How can the onboard nic suck? They mostly use the same nic-chip as nic cards... intel, realtek, broadcom, marvel etc...

First ping -t your nic ip and see if it disconnects, then ping -t the ip of your gateway and see if it's disconnect. If you can ping your nic's ip without problems it's gotta be something out of your pc (cable etc.)
