Check out the "Is your life becoming an RPG" speech a few topics down in this section. What once was a refuge for people seeking to get away from reality is getting more and more like real life. The biggest reason I will never buy anything from Apple is PRICE. It's fucking bullshit when you can buy perfectly good PC for gaming for 500 pounds / 700 dollars but Macs with similar specs cost 2-3 times more. I only have iPod Nano 3G, but I won that one

Many Apple fanatics often counter the fact that they are expensive with "they're of great quality". And sure, they're above you standard consumer electronics equipment when it comes to build quality. Personally I've had alot of first hand experience with Apple products. Throughout my entire compulsury school, we used macs. Everyone had Mac laptops, and all classrooms had atleast one Mac desktop. The library had the first iMac that came out. Then at Uni, we had iMac G5's. My GF of four years has had two iPod Classics and now an iPod Video, wich has been repaired once already. I have four friends with iPhones, three broken and one with booting problems.
With my personal experience I can only say this - the things I've bought that has costed me considerably less and they've worked JUST AS GOOD, sometimes even better, than the Mac products I've come in contact with. Now, if we disregard the hardware, and just pretend that all the faulty stuff somehow magically wound up around me, and just look at the software.
iTunes is a fucking atrocity. Seriously. Textbook definition of bloatware. Then we have the running services it requires, the oh-so limited functionalities (can't copy songs) from the damn iPod?) DRM locks and all sorts of bullshit. For the mindless OH SHINY APPLE PRODUCTS MAKE ME HAPPY-kind of user, I'm sure this works for you, when you don't know any better. But when, like 99.alot% of the users on here, you're very well aware and capable of using other technology, it just feel so fucking limited and dumb.
Take the fist two generations of the iPhone. Ri-fucking-diculous. The AMAZINGLY high pricetag for a fucking fashion gadget?! It lacked so many features when it came out, i was amazed of how many fucking people bought that thing, just cause it had the Apple logo on it. Sure, after a jailbreak, it could do some more things, but then we're back at the "Apple are fucking crazy"-square again - cause they more or less hate you if you jailbreak your device. The 3GS is what the FIRST iPhone should've been. When one of my friends got his iPhone, a 2g, and I had just gotten my Omnia, i asked him question after question "Can your phone do this/does it have this?" No on all accounts, of course, then I asked him what it costed him. I laughed hard when he told me. He's on his third one now, a 3GS thankfully. Even though it stopped booting a few weeks ago. The one before that, he dropped it from his pocket, broke the screen. My phone has hit the floor numerous times already, nothing broken on it. But hey, I'm probably lying, since he paid more for his super-quality phone.
If Apples products costed just about the same as the products they're competing with, I wouldn't be so hard on them, then they would just be an alternative to the already pricy high standard electronics on the market. But they try to pride themselves in being oh-so much fucking better then everyone else, when in fact they aren't.
And that's just the products. I'll never support a company that acts like Apple does.

Yes, I found it rather "bigotry" and biased. So they dont care about their customers right? well they certainly care about me, theyve replaced things and been top help whenever Ive needed it (which is rare, in fact ive only had to contact them 2 times in the past 4 years)
