    Quote:

For centuries the world of Equiada was at peace. The races chosen by the gods to inhabit it lived in prosperity, creating grand cities all over the land. And all that continued… until the gods wend silent. Bewildered by the sudden disappearance of their creators, the races soon lost trust in each other and began raising armies. Skirmishes and minor border conflicts turned to battles, which later turned to wars that nearly brought the world to an end. Now, generations later, after the dust of ancient destruction has settled, Equiada is filled with scores of kingdoms, remnants from the past. Using weapons of steel and ancient magic each of these kingdoms believes it alone has the right to rise anew and take its rightful place as the sole ruler of Equiada.

    Races and Fractions

From this constant conflict several powers have started to form, wishing to crush all that stands in their way:

Most visible, and possibly most organised, is the Shimmering Order of the Humans - a twisted organisation that has survived centuries with the sole aim of placing the human kingdoms under its rule and destroying everyone else. Ruthless and insane the Order has set its goal to find a way to the realm of gods and remain there forever.

Viciously fighting the Order is the newly risen kingdom of Jessa, which refuses to give in to their enemy's insanity. Facing many other foes, both human and not, the small kingdom is the only one that holds in it the power to save Equiada from a fate far worse than the Order's rule.

Deep within the forests of the west, brought to life by the devastating magic set lose during the ancient wars, a new breed of beings has also appeared with aspirations to become rulers of the world. Created of beast and plant, tribes of savage creatures, called Foresters, have begun to emerge from the forest, devouring all that stands in their way.

Remaining nearly unchanged from the time when the gods still spoke to mortal beings, the Darklings - beings of night and magma - have managed to survive in their citadels of fire. Witnessing countless wars and savagery their tasks remains the same to this very day - to cleanse Equiada from all they see as evil until there is none left.
