This time it's not related to me or my PC..More like my dad's business laptop while working at home with a 2nd router that's connected to the main one where i am typing this now.

We've got a D-Link dir-605l router at the dining room and my dad's laptop from work is a Lenovo T470.

He's been saying that back then his laptop would reach out to around 120-150MB/s but now it reaches around 30-60MB/s.

I wanted to ask what's my dad's laptop's max download/upload speed is and if it's is reaching the router's speed (Though honestly, i don't know how fast the laptop and router can go.. I know the router says 300MBps but not sure if the antennas got something to do with it or the bandwith)

Thanks in advance

He's running on W10

How much porn does your dad download?

Wait, what is the question? Is the second router used like a repeater?

download a wifi analyzer tool on ur phone, enable location to get it to work on android, then see if there is any other new networks from neighbours getting picked up on the same channel, and if so, change the wifi channel from 1 to for example 6 or 11, cause if to many netowrks use the same channel u get exactly what ur dad descrbes

also lenovo has incredibly shitty built in wifi chip for a couple of years that works worse then a phone, so for fun u can try hooking up the phone in thethering mode to laptop and compare speeds to see if the phone wifi chip does better
