So as a small background of why. Been playing my ps5 exclusively for the last years ( for solo gaming ) however considering i had a geforce now rtx 3080 sub ( so my wife can play tf2 on her mac with me ) i figured why not take more advantage of it. And this way play some multiplat games with RTX maxed out.

So i got a shield tv pro to use the 3080 sub with on my tv and all good. Except i’ve been checking game prices the past days and im a bit confused. Considering the deals i’ve been getting on the ps store as well as physical games… pc game prices on steam ( for the stuff i checked ) seem.. expensive?

Cyberpunk 2077 30 euros special offer down from 60. Wtf? Full price after 2 years? Witcher 3 goty with all dlcs 50 euros after…. 6 years??

I mean i got cp2077 for 15€ and witcher 3 goty for less than 10 on psn.

Did i just ‘drop’ at a bad time with no offers or what? Checked some other online stores selling steam keys and its just as bad. Tips?

isthereanydeal.com if you want the dirt cheap, grey market trash sellers. it lists nearly every key site of note with price histories.

prices vary, but i'm sure steam is a lot cheaper than ps games on average. the best time to buy up steam games is during the yearly steam summer sale. it's just a waiting game really.

and then you have a few vendors trying to push 70+ usd games (fucking square). some of the smarter publishers have worked out it's actually dumb to devalue your games to nothing after a year, because the games do in fact keep selling long past their release date.

cyberpunk itself is a huge game, which has had a solid amount of content added and is still their mainline title.. so i don't think that's unexpected for it to be expensive. especially with it experiencing a second-wind due to the anime.

I bought 80% of my steam games out of cdkeys.com . Out of a hundred games I only ever had a issue once and got solved by the customer support. So 10/10 for that website.
I also use instant-gaming.com but only when cdkeys.com is out of stock.

Edit: instant-gaming.com might ask for ID the first time you use them so there's that.

Witcher 3 goes on 80% off sale almost every month Laughing

Besides key shops, I think cheapest option to get Steam games is to switch Steam store region to Turkey/Argentina.

Thanks guys.

wouldnt recommend turkey since oddly some games dont even have a steam page like Midnight Suns or Like a Dragon/ishin for whatever reason and dunno if they ever will get any...

I also recommend cdkeys.com, had no real problems ever since I found it out. I did get a used key for Cyberpunk for GOG, but complained and they sent me a valid one in a day or so without hassle.

Also had no problems with Kinguin, but it is a marketplace and Kinguin's support doesn't give me any confidence, so I resort to it only if something's significantly cheaper than cdkeys and if I don't care if the publisher's gonna revoke the key N years later.

I buy 75% of my games on G2A lol. Unless I really like the developer and they aren't associated with some shit bag company like Gearbox or UBI/EA, then I'll look at GreenManGaming, or uh...I forget the other one, F4natics or something?

The worldwide keys from instant-gaming, cd keys, etc should still activate fine with an ARG account, right?

CDkeys.com is really good. So is ENEBA. I use Kinguin or G2A if games aren't available on those sites. It's mainly for old games or games where publishers up the price ridiculously, out of nowhere.

Though, it's always safer to buy on Steam since you can get a refund if the game's rubbish.

Had that happen twice and told them to pound sand. First site refunded and second one gave up and let it through, thats years back now. Aint sending no IDs or selfies with IDs to a fucin key site lol.

But yeah cdkeys insta-gamin no hidden fees. Never buy shield or any dumb subscription just paypal and cc chargeback if it cant be solved with support but doubt anything will go wrong.

Even pc game prices are going through the roof, i am after buying warhammer 3 but the price aint budging, i have one and 2 so i think i will wait for awhile.
£35.99 on cd keys which is by far the cheapest i have found, if it gets nearer to the £25 price i will get it.
