Core Temp, HWiNFO64 and Afterburner state my CPU is running between 20° - 30°c

My motherboard reports 100°c, therefore the CPU fan is running at 100% and is very loud

The motherboard is probably the worst one I have ever owned but I'm stuck with it for now: Z370 Taichi

Any idea of what I can do or how I can fix this? It's a Noctua D15 and it's plugged into the CPU_FAN on the MB.

Nothing I attempt to use to overwrite the fan speed seems to work. If I try to change the settings in the BIOS it's useless as the CPU reports 100 and so there's little I can do with temps relative to fan speed.

My gigabyte track record is not unblemished (they replaced effortlessly though) with mboards I only buy ASUS or Gigabyte if they have a better offering. Every other vendor has failed me multiple times with MSI being the absolute worst offender, so far I've not had an ASUS product fail me.

My Intel board also was an asrock and it always read the temps wrong.. but it wasn't an expensive x370, so I guess... Asrock sucks when it comes to temperature sensors?

Wait until you start using modern Asus boards and install 50 different bloatware software for controlling RGB lightning Laughing Personally i havent had any problems with Asrock boards, only have had couple their high end ones.

Asus is so last season in terms of proper VRM. Gigabyte all the way! Smile

I don't even have ASUS board, just an ASUS mouse and I still have to install all the RGB lightning bloatware just to get to the mouse software My computer is otherwise very tidy so its driving me crazy. Whoever is in charge of ASUS software programming should be tarred and feathered twice over. Mad

Whenever I update the bios on my ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-H Gaming I always disable RGB (or change color to black). I even disconnected my Fractal Design case power led since the blue led was so sharp and distracted me in the corner of my eye whenever the PC was on.

I tend to leave the PC casing in a different room so that way: no noise, no rgb shit and no heat coming towards me.

Shitty GFX cards produce so much heat that even with the AC on I would still sense the heat.
