And pretty hyped about it.

Wife and I were tinkering with the idea to move to something larger from our small flat, so we can have more space and our own yard and stuffs.

And we just paid the deposit for a new house which will be ready in Spring 2021.

So please be happy for my happiness. Thanks.

Good on you!

We’ve been living in a house for almost 5 years now. QoL is higher since no noisy neighbors, lots of room (fitness stuff and mancave/office) etc. A little bourgeoisie doesn’t hurt me. Laughing

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Eh, race car. I really wanted to have a garage so I can store the car inside, but there isn't enough room to build one, n'or the houses were designed like this - even tho, still better than sharing the lot with other neighbours. The car will be parked inside the yard.

I will also build a shed so I can store and work on the bikes.

I will finally have a room dedicated for my desk/office.

Thanks guys Smile

Enjoy your freedom! Very Happy A proper house requires a bit more effort, but the pros vastly outweight the cons. I'd never go back to living in a confined apartment again, not willingly at least.

Congratulations! You will love it. I love my place, it’s just a condo. A detached house is a bit of a pipe dream for me. A detatched house goes for about 2 mill here. Vancouver Canada .

Good on you!
Nothing like the feeling of not throwing money down the drain for rent. And having a place you can call your own and do what you wish with.

Yisss congrats.

I have a house. 2 children. 2 cars. 1 cat. 1 femme de ma vie

10 years ago I never thought any of this would happen to me - as a loner who used to drink himself to sleep every night Laughing

A moment of courage changes everything

Now that's some accomplishment

I +10 all of these congrats. The place we live in now is my first house (and I'm freaking over 40) but my wife's second. Like Nalo, I never thought I'd be married let alone have kids (and a house as well) but its amazing what life can throw at you to change all of that.

It's a lot of work, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Even things as simple as mowing the lawn bring a smile to my face since it looks "good" when it's done.

2 mil?? Oof.

I know . Money laundering capital of the world. Where you see more Lambo's, Mcclarien, and Ferrari's then any other city. And they have Pokemon seat covers. Our housing has just become another form of a bank account , a place to park your money for oversea "investors"

You can't even rent here. its really tough.
