‘Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm’, otherwise known as ‘Borat 2’... Or to give it the full title – ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan’, has been given an October premiere date on Amazon Prime…
14 years after his first adventure, Kazakhstan’s 4th best journalist returns to save the world from 2020. Borat Sagdiyev (Sacha Baron Cohen) makes his triumphant return in a direct sequel to the 2006 film ‘Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan’. There is no official synopsis for the movie, but as you can see in the trailer, it seems Borat is heading for the USA, and is harassing everyone from various farmers in heartland America to VP Mike Pence.
Filming continued to take place throughout this year, and included a number of risky stunts, from performing pranks at a gun rally, to a fake interview with Rudy Giuliani which led to the police being called. He apparently had to wear a bulletproof vest for a number of scenes due to some of the risky scenarios involved in the filming.
‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan’ premieres Friday, 23rd October 2020 on Amazon Prime Video worldwide.
"After she removes his microphone, Giuliani, 76, can be seen lying back on the bed, fiddling with his untucked shirt and reaching into his trousers. They are then interrupted by Borat who runs in and says: “She’s 15. She’s too old for you.”"
That was the word I was looking for, lame. I like his old work, but this was written by a simpleton. Maybe it gets going after 40 minutes, I don't know.
I stopped after 40 minutes. When does the funny begin
I stopped the original after 10 minutes, I do not find his characters funny at all. I do not like most things from "comedy" genre anyway.
I highly prefer UK comedy to US produced stuff. Mrs Brown's Boys (the older eps specifically), 'Allo 'Allo, Mr. Bean, Keeping Up Appearances, IT Crowd. Still funny after all these years and good rewatch value Still need to watch Father Ted, only watched bits of it but seems funny too
Rather weak, had a few good laughs but on the whole didn't work as well as the first film.
This. Was way to over engineered, and the funny scenes weren't regular. At least in Borat 1, the engineered scenes e.g the naked fat man in the hotel, were funny. In this, it was far from funny.
