|
 |
So I've been really frustrated with my picks for mouse this past couple of years.
First I went with a Logitech G703 which was OK after a month or so the middle click got completely wrecked with double-clicks and miss-clicks.
I then got a Logitech G Pro Wireless but after a few months its middle button also got messed up, furthermore it's crappy Micro-USB port just stopped charging at one point.
I did like the G Pro Wireless better though because I got big hands and it was more comfortable with a palm grip rather than a claw grip.
So what I'm looking for is as follows:
1. A big mouse for a palm grip for someone with relatively large palms.
2. One that does not break easily -- no miss-clicks, no double-clicks and no bad charging ports.
3. I don't mind so much about the price as long as it will survive for at least 2 years.
I was looking at:
1. Corsair Dark Core - but it seems to have an issue in which after a short while the right click and scroll become "squeaky" - https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Wireless-Slipstream-Technology-Certified/dp/B082LVNJ4W?th=1
2. Razer Viper Ultimate - seems to have an issue in which it might also just stop charging at one point (damned Micro-USB port). https://www.amazon.com/product-reviews/B07YPC3BQC
Anyone had better luck with a mouse? It seems like every mouse got a serious durability issue in which it can break just after a month. What happened to the old and trusty Microsoft mice we used to have in the early 2000s?

corsair uses the same wrong switches just like logitech, it's only matter of time until they will double click.
razer has own optical switches which should work better, but you will need the software otherwise you will have rgb rainbow effects all the time and the overall quality doesn't seem to be that good.
but overall it can't get worse then logitech. i will never buy any razer product because of the need of software but if you don't care it's worth a try. it's not like there are many options for good wireless devices except logitech, corsair and razer. at least to my knowledge.
the razer mouse should also have a charging dock, so no need for micro usb. (at least on the mouse itself)

G502 LIGHTSPEED Wireless is great, I also had the g903, but recently it started malfunction and started doing issues with every PC I paired with it.

I also got fed up with double clicks and bought a Viper Ultimate. I love this mouse apart from one thing - the scroll wheel is much louder that the Logitech ones when scrolling up. I've gotten used to it now, but it was pretty annoying the first couple of weeks.
The port is not a problem since the mouse came with a wireless charging dock.

That's not exactly correct. If you customize the colors and then exit Synapse, you'll get the rainbow effects, but if you disable RGB completely, it'll stay off even without the software running.

Got the Razer Viper Ultimate, so accurate and light, best wireless so far i have tried, have not had any charging problems, i always charge it in the dock. Was using Logitech G602 before, but had 2 of them starting doing the infamous "double click", i think Razer optical switches will be much more durable.

In my attempt to switch to wireless setup, I also bought the G703, which i returned the next day, maybe I got a faulty unit, but the cursor was stuttering from time to time, when I was moving it from left to right or longer strokes, the cursor ended up all the way in an instant. The sensitivity felt off from the start, even tho I was using the same DPi as I use on my G402.
I'm back to wired.

Thanks everyone! I'll probably go with the Razer Viper Ultimate, I just hope it will fit my grip style as I liked the G Pro Wireless a lot better than G703.
God I wish there would have been a wider selection.

I’ll also go for the Viper Ultimate soon. I was already pissed off inter other mouse thread because there seems to be no viable rather high end hardware for these kind of things. But now that I found out that you can disable RGB lights on the rauer nice, I might try it out.
If you are from EU, it’s currently quite cheap at Amazon IT:
https://www.amazon.it/Razer-Ultimate-Wireless-Batteria-Illuminazione/dp/B081QXQ86Y?ref_=mw_olp_product_details&th=1&psc=1
But admittedly without the docking station. But I’ll wait for BF first if something better comes up.

Indeed. Once you go wireless there is no going back.
I'm gonna buy upcoming Logitech Wireless Pro X white at some point, and replace my current Logitech Wireless Pro with it.

G Pro is very good but expensive. G305/304 are a solid budget choice.
Didn't have much luck with Razer products. Both my mouse and controller died within a year. Never again.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Over a year ago, I moved from a desk to couch gaming on a 65" 4k TV. Initially I was more worried about my old system keeping up with gaming (i5 2500k and Rx570), but quickly realized I needed a budget wireless kb&m solution. Went with the Log g305 and Corsair k57 combo and I've been pleased so far. The desktop and TV are about 6 feet away. I haven't tested the range further than that though.

Speaking on logitech, they just launched G pro x which is even lighter than Viper and obvious competitor..
But I guess you want to take less risks this time.

many people also just don't notice it, because it's not always just the typical double click, but often the drag and drop issue. on the desktop you won't notice it until it's really bad.

with the new gpw they changed back to the 20m click switches which were used in the first g502 versions. double clicks should be a little bit better, but they will still happen sooner or later.
just stay away from logitech.

Exactly. I noticed it by the regular hold right mouse button to turn my character, but it would continuously unclick, and maybe click again by itself. It drove me absolutely nuts.
And you know its bad when the support asks no questions and do no tests after you describe your issue. I wonder how much logitech saves on cheaping out if people were to RMA every time.
