It's out on August 20.
It's a modern Dark Souls crossing paths with Darksiders 3, Hellgate London and loot shooters. The gameplay is designed with coop in mind which means finesse had to be sacrificed to facilitate a better online experience. Parts of the world are dynamically generated. The combat is focused on firearms and has many moments when it leans towards a horde mode game. There's a story which doesn't seem half bad, secrets, lore and a progression that can keep one busy for many hours. I'm too early into the game to be critical about it, but it seems fine so far if not a tad repetitive due to no change in environment and low enemy variety.
Yeah, early access for pre-orders. Otherwise August 20 release.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

As soon as I saw the announcement trailer, it screamed to me: "DARKSIDERS 3 REPURPOSED ASSETS!" I like the studio and I'm glad they got to make Darksiders 3, but this looks rather generic to me.

There are some streams right now on Twitch. Haven't played Darksiders 3 and don't know how similar it is in the graphics but it looks decent although dated. The gameplay reminds me of Dead Space but without the claustrophobic levels. And the shooting is perhaps similar to The Division.
I explored other worlds with new environments and enemies. However, layouts are reused in the same campaign for each biome. I guess the devs didn't design that many areas for the dynamic world generation. Level design is also extremely linear at times.
Certain keys that cannot be rebinded. Dodge and vaulting share the same keybiind which can make for some really annoying moments.
The FOV is kinda low and there's no slider which diminishes the awareness a great deal. Enemies can place AOE attacks at your feet and you can't see anything.
There's no chat, VOIP or even emotes for the COOP. Which makes me wonder why there's even an online COOP if you can't communicate with your teammates in any way.
The progression doesn't seem to support unique builds. I think you can max out everything, it's just a matter of time and of which traits you choose to max first.
It feels mediocre, it plays mediocre, it looks mediocre, the level design is crap, the character progression seems lacking, the first boss is annoying as fuck when playing alone coz of suicide minions rushing you.
No wonder perfect world is a publisher. I bet no one else wanted to back it up

In theory, it sounds good.
Gamplay sounds like shit, but people enjoy shit these days. More so than ever before.

Sorry, have to totally disagree.
Game play feels mediocre, that's an opinion i feel different.
Looks mediocre, sorry disagree looks fine.
Level design is not crap imo, it's actually quite good, esp for a game that has different layouts each time you play.
Character progression is good, and you get more and more traits the further you progress to go a different direction.
the first " boss " you are talking about is a mini boss, the real boss comes way later.
I am now 14 hours in, and in the " jungle " worlds, someone here claimed it all looks the same and there is no variety, well clearly these people played on on the first " world "
Every new region is completely different with different enemies, and different tactics.
I have now killed 4? ( I think ) main bosses, and many many mini bosses.
And in my opinion the game is great, I will defo buy it when salary arrives and play it in coop, but even in solo i'm having a blast.
It's difficult, but fun and the loot system ( different armor gives different bonuses ) and traits system is kinda cool, esp since there are hidden places for Armour and weapons.
Graphics and animations arent that bad. Controls are tight, combat feels heavy.
I just finished the 1st boss I think (The one with the fucking exploding STDs) and entered the subway.

Huh? Nope. Cesspool dude is a boss. There are dungeon bosses and world bosses. They are still bosses, they just reside in different parts of the world.

I'm talking about the levels within one setting. You are comparing different world settings. Apples and oranges.
PS
- THe balance is fucked in single player when it comes to dealing with adds while fighting bosses. it gets worse later on.
- no chat (voice or text) in a game specifically designed with coop in mind? lol
- bosses and mobs hitting you through the walls is so fun
PPS On a side note.. I've been watching CohhCarnage playing it in co-op and in co-op it's actually pretty nice and fun despite its flaws.

I don't think I can beat the last boss in solo. He has like 1 million HP and I have to kill as many adds as possible while taking damage over time to stack up buffs that increase my damage. I just can't kill enough by myself to make a dent in his life and I run out of healing.
