Same. The hot dog stand and the other stands seem OK but I hate the grass, so... green and not enough detail there. I also find that the rides are too similar (all the same bottom Sad). The rest looks great (like the old RCT games) but this graphic style is Sad

It's mostly the grass and stands (needs more detail) where the art style puts me off. The moving rides and characters aren't that bad. Could have been better, but if they'd spruce up stands and grass I'd be interested.

Yes, its the stalls mainly. They are like some lego blocks put together. At the first screen I see burger bar, hot dog, coffee and drinks, so here is how they look in RCT

You can even see the stuff put on the counter (ketchup, mayo, etc)

Oh man, I still remember when you could ride your constructions in Theme Park World. Imagine a "next gen" theme park with rideable Rift-enabled rides? Motion sickness engage!

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 has aged very very well imho.

Its still a awesome game and will be very hard to beat.

Agreed Very Happy. Though after so many hours spent with the game, one could hope for something relatively fresh to come out for a change*

Some new update.

Still too basic imo, RCT2 is looking better than this. Talking about RCT2, this is pretty nice:

Comes to Steam EA at 5 May, 2016:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/453090
Price will be: $17.99

-------

Was reading about some user reviews for this some days ago.
The gameplay seems to be really good already.
It's just the current graphic style, that i still can't really get warm with. Sad

Gave in and bought this from their homepage Very Happy I had tons of fun trying their pre-Alpha out, it's really the RCT1/2 successor I was looking for - as I personally dislike RCTW and therefore Planet Coaster.
It's still 15$ for now, but will rise to 18$ when it's in Early Access.

Why do you dislike Planet Coaster?
PC and Parkitect are very similar in gameplay. With the obvious difference being mainly the graphics.

I emphasized the "personally" because there's no good reason other than that I prefer the isometric view to the fully 3D approach Razz
I'm just quite glad some folks decided to go for the RCT1/2 route rather than the RCT3 one ! Planet Coaster is for you if you preferred RCT3, Parkitect for RCT1/2 fans, and RCTW, well.. I don't know, maybe some poor parents will fall for the trap and get it for their equally poor children.

I follow the guy who made the park in the trailer on youtube. He has some amazing building skills, I seriously didn't know you could do all this in RC3 and the likes. I never really played it for the house/scenery building element, but I guess I've been missing out Very Happy

Planet Coaster looks like the better game though, looking at the stuff he's build using the few items currently available.

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
