"Ash of Gods" is а multi-genre project that features most of the typical elements of a visual novel, tactical turn-based role-playing game and card strategy. This is a story intending to show all the complexity and ambiguity of moral choice. Good people often become rascals while inhumans behave more human-like than humans. This is the story of “angels” who after being given free will turned the life of humans into hell in the absence of a god. This is a novel that shows you that no conflict has a right or a wrong side because even your enemies have mothers and children.
Unique rogue-like storytelling in which each of the characters can die. Each of your decisions affects further plot development. Consequences may be immediate or come after a pretty long time. Momentary benefit may cost a character a life, while sacrifice will make the walkthrough of one of following episodes easier. As in real life, it’s very hard to predict all the consequences of the choices you make. A rude word may provoke a lethal conflict and a wound in battle may lead to death in a story mode. Remember: imprudent management of resources will lead to the death of the whole party.

Rogue-like storytelling:
You choose who will live and who must die. The team’s resources are tied to the resources of the combat party. So if you mindlessly rush forward, you will gradually lose your characters, including the major ones. But even the death of the party’s leader won’t lead to “game over”!
Smart AI that constantly learns exactly how to defeat you:
AI automatically adapts to your style of playing – you will never be able to invent “imba” tactics or find that “invincible” team build.
Three independent protagonists:
This world lives by its own rules while the actions of each of the major heroes affects the general flow of the plot, occurring in different parts of the world simultaneously. You have to choose which of the heroes will survive to the end of the game.

The illustrations are in the manner of old-school Disney cartoons and the creations of the Soviet animation studio “Soyuzmultfilm” of the 60s. Character animation in combat scenes are based on live actors’ motion capture.

The music of this project is the fruit of collaboration by these wonderful game composers: Adam Skorupa, Krzysztof Wierzynkiewicz and Michał Cielecki (who wrote the music for such projects as Max Pain, Painkiller, The Witcher and EVE Online).
Great news, everyone. First of all, we can finally announce the release date. Ash of Gods will become available for purchase on Steam at March, 23th.
Those, who expect Ash of Gods on consoles, will be pleased to know that legendary Russian company Buka Entertainment will publish the game for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One till the end of the year.
i am doubtful with regards to the 'roguelike storytelling' but still, preordering because of delicious art
but it seems it is not for sale yet
i will also probably end up frustrated because i am the sort of anal retentive that if it is something i can affect, i would not have anyone in the party die

Game is a fucking mess: WTF is even the story about; the writing is sub-par, the dialgoues/choices are meaningless, and combat is hazy: who attacks after who, why do enemies counterattack for no reason, etc.
Don't have the time or the patience for such shit, uninstalled.
Some weird-ass arbitrary BS turn-based battle. If you left the enemy with 2 good fighters and you had 5, the 2 enemies would play and play and play, destroying your fighters. So you had to implement a strategy of NOT killing some weak enemies, to avoid the enemy usiing his stronger ones.
The most autistic turn-based battle system in recent memory IMO. Yeah ... don't finish off the enemies too early because then the outnumbered, undamaged ones will wreck you. Wat.
Combat is boring, i play it with autobattle on ; im more interested in the story, chars and events. Writing is not so bad, but im annoyed by the fact that reply options in dialogues are vague, only after choosing it you get the meaning for most, thats why i load quite a lot. Also load times are big
