The Master Chief returns in Halo Infinite – the next chapter of the legendary franchise. Developed by 343 Industries and created with our new Slipspace Engine, Halo Infinite was revealed at the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing with a thrilling engine demo that provides a glimpse into the future of the Halo franchise, leading it into new and unexpected directions.
Yea, it was pretty much confirmed PC bound long time a go..
I want Halo collection It sad that we skipped 3 games+2 "expansions", So it's very annoying we are getting the FULL sequel without knowing whats going on plot wise..
Soooo they are finally releasing that original Halo PC version. You know... that open world one... where it would've been one of the very few, very first FPS titles whoever done such a thing... you know, before Microsoft "bought" it... just like 17 years too late.... having no novelty at all anymore...
Careful what you wish for with bungie gone from halo...
I'm actually not wishing for anything. Besides, Bungie being gone... looking at Destiny... especially Destiny 2... not quite sure what you are trying to say but... I'm not sure if it's bad that "current" Bungie is gone... current Bungie feels like current Bioware and such to me
And don't care much for this franchise anyway. I cared about the Halo version I mentioned above... 17 years ago... not anymore though.

In its recent Stream VOD, 343 Industries announced that the Slipspace Engine, the engine powering Halo Infinite, was developed with PC in mind. As such, the engine will scale on numerous PC hardware systems, though it remains to be seen whether it will be able to take full advantage of the PC capabilities.
Moreover, the team stated that PC will be “treated as a first-class citizen“, something that will definitely please a number of Halo PC gamers. Still, the team appears to be facing some technical challenges with the PC version and as such Halo PC flight programs may come later than the other flights. Still, the team confirmed that AntiCheat for the PC will also be present.
343 Industries did not reveal any additional tech details but we’re almost certain that the game will be using DirectX 12.
Reposting what Neon posted in the console section..
one is from a 360 Halo game, guess which...
Spoiler:
The good looking (for its time) to the left is the 360 version.
unfinished? then perhaps don't show your game until it at least looks better than a 10-15 year old game.
then they shouldn't show it to the public until it looks better than a 10 year old game.
even if its beta it should look better, if it was a very early alpha (6 months into development or so) where things like shaders aren't final i could perhaps be a bit more forgiving, this is not that. if lucky it might get a texture update, that's it.
When I watched that gameplay yesterday I was like... wait this looks like Halo 3 on Xbox360?
Strange stuff for sure.
Oh and that grappling hook.. I don't like it.
that said, I would likely enjoy playing a semi open world halo in split screen coop even if it looks like this... the more open levels with vehicles and multiple factions were always the best so I'm hoping this capitalizes on that.
