A bit off-topic, but I discovered a few years back that Hulu does the same thing with trial memberships. If you cancel your membership during the free month (so as not to get charged come the re-bill date), they revoke access to the account immediately. EVERY other "free trial" I've ever tried lets you finish out the month. Not them.
How's consumer protection laws in your country? Any recourse?
