Anyways, i have been playing with it for the last couple of hours. The OLED screen is gorgeus and the games i have are a blast (Motorstorm RC, Escape plan, waiting for Uncharted Golden Abyss to be delivered sometime this week). The screen is really responsive, the back touch is weird but you get used to it (depends on the game).
The EU store just went up today, so its not fully packed just yet. The prices are well... you get a 10% off, but thats not quite enough if you ask me. But Sony are going along with a dynamic price model so games range everywhere from 6€ (Motorstorm RC) to 45€ (Uncharted).
The analog sticks are good, a little tiny but responsive. The buttons are also a bit smaller, so people with large hands may struggle a little. It's quite light in your hands, I can hold it pretty easily. I love the d-pad, it's really good, at least for my taste.
I'll come back with more impressions after i've played with it a bit more.

This!
I have a PSP and a PS3 I can download pretty much any game I want for them (well maybe not the Ps3 ) and I still find myself thinking, but I have played the 5 good games these systems have.

yes but if i want a quality product worth the 300 dollar price tag, i'd rather wait.of all the derpelopers out there, i trust nintendo with a first gen product and know it'll last. plus their warranty and repair is amazing.

Also, this is Sony.. and the device uses FW updates. You've only got to look at the PS3 to see Sony aren't fucking around any longer. If you want piracy, I doubt you're going to find much of anything on the Vita - not for a good long while - and if/when something does come up, don't expect it to last either. They gave up on the PSP, but the PSP's security was never even remotely close to being as tight as the PS3.

Even if piracy was a o k and cool with vita... it'd still be riddled with shit games and only a few purchables. There's yet a title I'd pick up the system for and it's doing piss poor at the moment. \o/. Sony's going under.

there is no doubt VITA high security, but more secured then PS3? I don't know,VITA already exploited for homebrew, before it even lunches in the west, the PIRACY but is probably the big problem though, but so far it seems maintain some PSP exploits,PS3 was never "unhackble",and even not now, despite Sony indeed did some good job.

The fact we cannot play many of the most recent games just goes to show the PS3 is pretty secure / in some ways still "unhackable".
I suspect this device will also be just as difficult.

No, the Vita is NOT exploited for homebrew. Its exploit only extends to the PSP backwards compatibility functionality - not the Vita HW itself - and that's even if it exists at all, since this "magical" PSP exploit hasn't yet been released. The PS3 was also in the same situation back during the 1.0-1.6 days.

I would say yes actually when it comes to VITA "exploited" definition, true that there in no hardware hack and never said there is. "exploited" can be define as software thing as well, and fact that it's thing that VITA is using.

A save game glitch on a very specific PSN copy of a PSP game allows you to run HBL on the PSP EMULATOR built into the Vita. It allows no access or exploitation of the Vita hardware or software. It is a sandbox inside the PSP EMULATOR, nothing more. That does NOT make "the Vita exploited!111" how every much you spin it from stuff you read from bullshit sites.

it's basically true, but still falls in the definition of an "Exploit"
Quote: | An exploit (from the verb to exploit, in the meaning of using something to one’s own advantage) is a piece of software, a chunk of data, or sequence of commands that takes advantage of a bug, glitch or vulnerability in order to cause unintended or unanticipated behavior to occur on computer software, hardware, or something electronic (usually computerised). This frequently includes such things as gaining control of a computer system or allowing privilege escalation or a denial-of-service attack. |

Were you able to play Uncharted with that 4GB memory card?
Im sure it said on the back of the game box that it requires a 64gb memory card minimum :/
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Aye, 4GB probably.. apparently most games require a memory card in order to function and the smallest is 4GB. The hardware of the Vita is certainly impressive and it's Sony, so you know it's got the 3rd party support and will no doubt end up with a fuckton of games. Dat price though >_<
