Ahead of its launch in 2022, Binge.com–the upcoming “Netflix for gaming shows”–has revealed what could be its most exciting original series yet: a live-action, small-screen adaptation of PC masterpiece System Shock.
Binge.com’s small-screen adaptation, which will mainly focus on the events surrounding the original System Shock with “elements of the sequel peppered in,” will be produced by Binge chief content officer Allan Ungar, with Nightdive’s Stephen Kick and Larry Kuperman joining the project as executive producers.
Favorite movie genre of mine (sci-fi horror) so i'll gladly take it
love all the new alien movies too just because there's just so extremely little of it out there, very rarely does the genre disappoint me entertainment wise, even though i know its not exactly 10/10 stuff and not great in comparison to Alien or The Thing.
No wonder neither of the SS1-2 remake/remaster games ever comes out, working on quake 1, working on TV-series... i'm beginning to get a little salty i think
I'm mainly worried that they'll create a turd of a show but I won't assume anything until I know a lot more (like watching a teaser/trailer).
I expect nothing less than shit.

b: the use or language of sarcasm
Not sure how this will turn out as I never heard of Binge.com so I cannot see it having a huge budget. It might end up looking more like a fan film the anything but I guess when they release a trailer we can find out.

You don't need a big budget for system shock. You need creativity, decent writing and good atmosphere.
I'd be interested if they did a gory graphic live action dead space. 3-4 episodes about the cult growing, and the rest of the series dealing with the fallout. Issac dealing with he fallout.
I don't see how this lonely journey will be feasible as a tv show. Will they manage without adding a larger cast? will they manage to keep it woke free? Probably a fat no to both
SHODAN's internal predictive model suggests that there's a 93.87% chance of this project turning into a sad trombone. I'm still curious, though expectations are nonexistent and it's mostly masochism at this point
