At its heart, Hunger is a simple idea. A young girl is trapped in a labyrinth full of monsters and wants to escape. It will be your job to help her do this. It’s a genre we’re calling ‘suspense-adventure’, on account of the fact that there will be plenty of both. Coupled with an unnerving ‘Dollhouse Perspective’, tactile controls, and characters with soft, dark centres, Hunger will take your hand and let it go at the worst possible moment!
Bandai Namco has announced a worldwide publishing agreement with Swedish game developer Tarsier Studios for a new game called Little Nightmares, formerly known as Hunger.
Little Nightmares follows a “dark, yet whimsical tale” that will see players confront their childhood fears as they help a girl dressed in a yellow raincoat escape the jaws of The Maw – a vast, mysterious vessel inhabited by corrupted souls seeking their next meal.
Platforms were not announced. More information is due out at Gamescom 2016 next week
