Can get a ton of details about the game/engine and other features via those newsletters, unsure how much they've kept from Temptation though.
(Switching from a expansion to a stand-alone addon now to a full sequel.)

Couldn't stand the first one. The character looked like an inbred pikey

I hope they actually get some decent voice actors this time around, it really put me off the first one.

I barely encountered any bugs at all, while playing the first one on 360. It was great fun just running around with some friends, exploring the maps. The framerate issues though, they were pretty bad.

I hope this time we be able to choose how our hero will look like because didnt like how he look like in first part. But propably they wont do something like customisation in TW 2

Depends on, in the first game and for the addon they used the main character and his sister, albeit you could customize things a bit and the 1.5 patch improved visuals quite nicely in regards to faces and the male body (Female body still used old model but new faces albet it wasn't really used in singleplayer either way outside of mods.)

I recently re-installed it to try and complete some of the things I hadn't before, tweaked a bit the game looks quite OK but as above it's a bit unbalanced still, spells really dominate and once you start racking up XP you'll outlevel what the game boundaries are set up for (Between 40 - 50) so things quickly turn quite difficult (Certain enemies like bandits scale as do prices for services and what equipment is available and it's strength.)
Stacking high end weapons is nearly a must by then, as is using spirit damage "stones" as there are no resistances and immunities for it, currently my weapons deal several thousand points of damage but certain foes are still quite brutal due to their scaled up abilities.
You'll also want to learn air magic and resurrect (Some people exploit it to hell and reach levels above 100 but higher levels actually make certain things quite difficult as mentioned above.) and the necro spells are essential as well since again there are no resistances to it. (Necro power once boosted being among the best due to killing quickly and healing you equally fast.)
Game is quite good still though despite being a bit unbalanced, lots of stuff to explore and quite a few quests plus they conflict with each other via which guild you aid and how you resolve some of them so you need to think to avoid being locked out of both sides. (Such as Karga or Skelden or the Merchants and Giriza.)
Supports MP as well but few people play it, I haven't really played much at all online though I did go trough both DLC addons.
There's a few mods and a full SDK as well but it's difficult to use but still very powerful and mods usually alter scripts and data which causes conflicts as several mods alter the same thing, once you learn things a bit better it works quite well however.
Looking forward to this sequel, looks promising from what I've read in those newsletters and they seem to have overhauled many of the features from the first game, will be fun to play whenever it's released. (I guess mid to late 2010) and until then there's quite a few other titles in the works.
